TraceOddity
I haven't listened to them since before Christmas, because I was really getting tired of them, much as I love them. I'd just overplayed them, so I gave it a rest for nearly 4 months. But with all the hype about the new album, I loaded most of my (rather large) collection into the stereo today, and the joy is back! I'm remembering all the lovely reasons I fell in love with them 8 years ago! YAY!!!!!:D:D:D:D So if you're getting sick of them, just go off and listen to some other music for a while and take your time coming back...it'll be worth it!!!!! Mimixxx
That's good! :D It's hard not to tire of Coldplay I think cos they leave such massive gaps between albums there's nothing new to keep your interest.

ApproximatelyInfinite
i haven't really ever gotten tired of coldplay, but i've found sooo much new music in the past two years as well that i keep a good balance, i think. i've recently done the same with the beatles that tracie has done with coldplay. after watching across the universe a million times (all the girls on my floor are quite literally OBSESSED with that film), i went back and listened to the originals of all the songs in the film. and ohh my god, what a feeling. i used to be perhaps the biggest beatle fan on the face of the earth. my obsession with them was mortifying, much more intense than my love for coldplay is now. i didn't listen to anything else for two years, and because of that i OD'ed on them and didn't listen to them much. but then last week i listened again, and it was like a present, like this really great, nostalgic feeling :nice:. ApproximatelyInfinite
:D and now i've got their entire catalogue, anthology outtakes and all, on random  i'm having SUCH a good time. it's so nice to realize that all the words and guitar solos and little random bits of the song are still lodged in your brain somewhere and that you didn't forget a thing about them or their music in the hiatus :nice:
TraceOddity
It's only been 4 months, so I knew I wouldn't forget anything, but it's still like a gift...having the love back instead of just feeling indifferent!! Here's to our music collecitons on random!:D
Napoleon
I've can relate to growing tired of Coldplay. I've been a huge Coldplay fan since I was 7, so in the past 9 years, while my musical tastes grew and changed, Coldplay was the only band that stayed the same. Needless to say, I've heard Yellow a few times too many. I haven't fully grown to love them again, seeing as Radiohead and Tokyo Police Club are all that I can listen to as of late, but I'm sure with the new album dropping within months, my love will come back to me. CRYSTAL
i am always in love with coldplay, and also never tired listening to lyrics written by Chris and i also listen them everyday as much times as i can because they always gives me the ray of hope in life that i want. and before i knew coldplay there are not many artists that i loved. so i am unable to give a list quickly and also i also knew the artists only because of MTV thats all. but if there is any other artist that i want to listen to honestly speaking other than Coldplay sometimes then it'll be Nelly Furtado because of her softness in making music. GazeboflossUK
I doubt I will ever listen to X&Y all the way through again - since I feel most of it is really sub par stuff - but I do listen to the odd old b-side or the odd album from their first two. I do thnk that as a band they can still redeem themselves if their new material is something fresh.
airieslady
I have kept busy with Radiohead and am looking forward to see them twice in W Palm, the first night of their US tour and then on to Tampa. I am excited as I have never seen them live. But am glad that they put their album out last Oct and all those free webcasts... keeps me happy! I still love Coldplay and saw Clocks video late last night on VH1... that was weird, cause I never stay up that late. But I can't stand the lag of time and anticipation surely is there, but hope this is all worth it... Coldplay needs to hurry up!
