Yep, methinks the cover art RULES!

 

Mad coincidence that I was looking at this photo the other day when doing a bit of research on the French Revolution just two weeks ago! I was just thinking to myself- wow, that woman looks tough. lol!

haha, i was looking at a high-res version of the painting on wiki, and even though i've thought all day that that dude in the bottom right looks freakishly like jonny, you can see when it's bigger that you can soooort of draw comparisons between chris and guy and two other dudes in the painting:

 

 

(this wasn't all me; two other people have metioned it in some thread earlier today, and this is the entire painting, not just the cropped bit that's the cover).

Like anything else about the new album, it will take some getting used to for a lot of people. At first I hated the name, but it grew on me. Also how they said how different the music was, well now Im interested. Today this cover seems really bizarre to me, but in a few days Ill get used to it and come to love it.

I think the crouching guy (under the guy with the sword) looks kind of like Will's face. Maybe also the guy lying next to "Jonny". Or it could be the guy in the background holding a sword up.

i hated it when i first saw it this morning before school but i've been thinking about it all day and it slowly grew on me and now i love it!

sooo..we have album cover from Delacroix and album title from Frida...who will be next? Picasso? :D

What does the album cover have to do with the Viva La Vida theme? I was really hoping they'd come up with a better album name and cover, but I guess as long as the music is good.

 

Besides, the album will always be known as Death & All His Friends in my eyes.

i hate delving into stuff like this because you always end up sounding like a dumbass but... i think maybe the painting is connected to 'viva la vida' because it's from the french revolution and the french revolted because they wanted to be free from the monarchy and wanted to be able to 'live their lives' more freely. idk that's probably not legit but just what i think when i look at it.

 

and this is another idea i was thinking about thats probably completely crazy and untrue but... maybe on the back it says or death and all his friends and theres another painting that connects more to that theme? idk just an idea.

The tits on lady liberty kind of ruin it. I just can't imagine walking around wearing a shirt with that on it, people will think it's really weird.

 

For now, I'm going to give it a 3/5, but I know it will grow on me once I hear the album.
