How do people have so many posts?

Featured Replies

Well, it's not like I think I've replaced my life for this, nononono!

I actually had an addictive time and after that I don't come thaaaat often... just come when I feel quite bored or might feel good about telling some things to some people here.

Plus, the people is so nice to be around with. :)

There are numerous reasons as to why a person's count may seen large. First look at the join date to put things into perspective, though if that still seems sus it could be because:

  • Spam for spam sake
  • joined during an album release or tour (this was the case with me which left me posting like mad about the concert)
  • spam - double posts
  • newbies that are intially coldplay crazy - this includes individual band members - then newbies that become regulars who come here to get the latest goss and then contribute their own findings = fanaticism lol
  • arguements - always generates lots of posts and also heaps of threads
  • games section
  • alias day
  • wom section
  • spammers who come here from other sites and start up arguments which we fans feel compelled to reply to

Well ok, this isn't exactly the best thought out list possible lol but for the most part it's true. Another possibility could be that they are simply through and through, coldplay fans who want to know everything and anything about the band and who genuinely have something meaningful to mention about the band, their music...again, it is a possibility!

Why is 1000 the grand total? (I think I made a Mark joke, which calls for none other.... Oh yes, this is spam)

At what point do I stop being "new"?

Good question..

Yeah because like... you're obviously not new, but you are new post-wise... but I am obviously new time-wise but have posted more than you...

It should just depend on how long you've been here time-wise?

But then who's to say when you aren't new... haha. It is silly.

i think that the 'new' status changes when you reach 50 posts, it use to be at that time on any board.

i'm not sure..

there was a thread somewhere here where we posted (like 2 or 3 years ago) the status names and when does it changed.

Well, mine just changed i noticed. Well, now it doesn't say i am New. I can live with that =P

Yeah, mine's changed too but I don't really get what it means xD Is it just like levels?

is simple are the coldplay singles in order.. 1.1 first single / videoclip of their first album... and so on... ;)

A good way to bump up your post count is to post lots in:

Lounge Games

World of Music Games

Manic posting did it for me, although I haven't been here in so long...

That's true

I miss you :(

yeahhh we are :wacky:

who has reached 30K in a year? :stunned:

I'm here since almost 5 years ago, and now is when i'm close to reach it.... (i didn't came here during 2006)

honestly i'd like to have less post, i mean i find that some of them are so... them aren't 'worthy'... but well a part of 'spam' on games threads i also write long long posts, and some of them are in 4 different languages, and i post my poetry too, so i guess that them aren't as stupid as i sometimes think them are. thanks to post so much here i had improved my english a lot.

there was a time where i mainly posted only on Coldplay section.

you should had seen how the board was some summers ago....

oh nice times those times.

and i guess that we post that much because is a friendly board and we end forming like a big family all together :nice:

Rick8 has reached 40,000 in a few years. Just look at his post count.

Also, I cant wait to reach 1,000 posts. Im trying to reach that many by Dec. 31 at 11:59PM. I think it might be close, but if I dont have a job over the summer, Ill just be on here all day, so I would get to 1000 pretty quick.:wink3:

i know, he is the exception of the normal posters :uhoh:

my rate is 17.70 or something so i think is not that much... (although had this amount makes me feel bad and 'old' sometimes) there's people with fewer posts which rate is almost even higher than Rick ones.. :uhoh:

summer is the time to reach everything :smug:

good luck on it (i don't know / remember your name now) :embarassed:

I post around 10 posts a day... I have been here for 5 years its took me forever !

8.33 posts a day on average :P

My average has gone down since I don't post in the game threads often these days

I think I will just have to hide in shame....:(

8 posts a day :smug:

Although I'm only 200 away from 1000 now! :O
