Darlene_Ihnfsa Posted May 12, 2008 Share Posted May 12, 2008 I'm just thinking now about it... i've been in here since many years, sooner as we can imagine this board will be 10 years, it'll be a great idea to organize a party-meeting then i think... but i'm also thinking that: we are mainly on our late teens first twenties... that's mainly why we are so joyful, friendly and all that... there's people younger and older than that... but my quesiton is: do you see yourself still coming here in 2, 5, 10 years? since i'm here many people had left it, came just randomly and stuff like that... the ones who are in their teens will be busy with college in their twenties and the ones who are in their twenties will form their family, get a job so, i guess they won't have many time to come here... and another question does anybody (friends, relatives) know that you post here? what do they think about it? and when time has passed and you'll be in your thirties, will you be willing to come back here and read your first posts here, the one of when you were in your teen - twenties?, how do you think you'll feel about it? will you regret having done or said any things here? I'd like to think I'm still pretty Joyful for an old girl!:laugh3: I would definitely go to a 10th anniversary meet-up. THat would be too much fun! And a couple of my friends know I post (live?) on here. THey're both Coldplay fans too, so they don't really think it odd, they just aren't the type of people who use online forums. I met some of the most important people in my life through a similar communication device and it has been a great experience for me. Not many of my friends are fans of Coldplay. I, however, have a genuine appreciation for the music and wanted the opportunity to chat with like-minded individuals. I signed up for this because of the excitement of the new album, but also because I wanted the chance to be a part of the international community here. It makes me feel just a little more worldly than I did before. I try to conduct myself here as I would anywhere else in the real world, with respect and dignity given to those who would respond in kind. (The Magic Brownie excluded, of course) :rolleyes: Hope that answers your question, Ari (even though I think you might have been looking for veterans to answer rather than a Violet Hill-a-loution newbie). People will vouch for me here.. and I will also vouch for others... this place has change a life for many and has brought many people together ... words can not be written to explain it... ( I am counting up my demons and hoping everything is not lost) I have seen people here, heard or read stories on stages of their life journeys etc... So yeah, I'll probably stop by here every so often as Coldplay continue to release more albums. I'm sure whoever I end up marrying will like Coldplay too, and our children will be perfect angels who never need to be tended to because they'll be independent and precocious. Or something. I was only reading the Coldplay section.. and never clicked on Lounge or something. 1 a 2 years later, round begin of 2007 I saw the lounge.. and other stuff.. and asked myself why I never had hit the register button? Since that time I post also here!.. I'm here because of Coldplay.. and the friendly people around here.. that can live at the other side of the world! Thats a bit weird. :P I never hated a member.. and problably never do.. same as leaving.. I never leave (Yes a meating when it exist 10 years would be great!) But at college Ill already be balancing my studies, a job, friends, possibly a band. I dont think ill have the time to post daily, but I expect Ill check in now and then. I want to come back when Im like 60 and look at all the new young people and tell them I was around when this forum was still on the internet.
