lol yeah its a common word for us :D i say "cheers" alot aswell is that just britain? lol

I don't think I've heard "cheers" too much but I bet people say it alot in bars here. Maybe.

I like Brit-speak though, it's more varied and emotive. If I were to call someone "daft" here in America they would take it as a serious insult and probably beat me up. Also, you can't say the word "bloody" and not be laughed at here... an American accent pretty much ruins it.

You don't hear 'daft' as much in Canada as you do in the UK, but 'Cheers' is starting to catch on as a way of saying goodbye like they do in the UK. It usually just means a toast in a bar, but now it's taking on the other meaning a lot more, even in the US.

Nice!:)

Unfortunately, I'm on a basic cable budget, so I'm stuck with the baby-food they shove down our throats.

Another one that's just so shallow and annoying: "When a man sweats, it's just not sexy."

At least we're putting the same unreasonable demands on men that used to be reserved only for women, lol. Now we can ALL be flawless!:P (And hey! Under the right circumstances, a little perspiration's not a bad thing...;)

Can't afford cable here...:(

When I move out I'm not getting cable. It's not worth it, in my opinion, when you can just download all your favorite TV shows on the internet and watch them whenever you want. Or get Netflix.

the point of a commercial is to advertise a product so if i'm remembering wendy's burgers arent frozen then they are doing their job. one company tried to make the worst commercial for the superbowl knowing people would remember it

Fair point, but advertisers used to make commercials that were memorable for their cleverness, not their stupidity. It works, but it's a sad shift in attitude.

Wendy's 'Where's The Beef?' ad campaign back in the 80s was brilliant...annoying, but brilliant, lol.

^ YUMM! I thought of something simliar to that once. It was about Guy Berryman. I was sitting on my sofa thinking, what if I had a gigantic brownie but painted and looked like Guy Berryman.

then, we hit it off. We got married, went to Hawaii for our Honeymoon and eventually had children. He was so nice and boy did he taste good.
