Also, when I was in HMV deciding whether or not to by Coldplay CDs, I saw a man pick up VLV off the shelf and look at it for a few minutes. All the while I was silently willing in my head: Buy it, buy it, buy it! You won't regret it! However, my Jedi mind tricks obviously didn't work on him as he put it back and walked off. :(

You know you're addicted when you listen to the entire U2 discography and then you play Clocks and it hits you harder than any U2 song. :nod:

I am obsessed with The Joshua Tree album though. :dazzled: CP should get serious for the next album and try to do something that epic and grand.

And get enoxificated even more. :nod: Everything they do gets compared to U2 so they might as well do something like TJT or The Unforgettable Fire.

It always makes me laugh when some people I've encountered get so offended at the thought of Coldplay sounding like U2, calling them "rip-offs" or "copycats" or such. Um, yeah, people, it'd be easier to make a list of artists in the last 10, 20 years who haven't been heavily influenced by U2. And all these years later, bands are going to sound similar. People need to deal with and accept this.

Ha, I've done that, too :). I've also done the thing of, if a CD I like is hidden in the back, I pull it right up to the front, so that everyone can see it and perhaps buy it.
