You know when you're addicted to Coldplay when you're on this forum almost everyday.

Well, it was luck of course, but it's a nice way to drive home :)

When you just got out from class and turn on your mp3 and at that precise moment Chris' voice pops in your ears, beginning an acoustic version of A message and your first reaction is a huge relief :wacky:

The last time I had turn off my mp3, just before going to class, it was the very end of a song and I knew that the second I'd turn it on again a song would begin. When I heard Chris & the first notes of A message - which is btw one of my favorite songs and means a lot to me - I just sighed of relief, because I had an awful time in class today. Coldplay is always there when I need them :awesome:

when you drive around the block to finish listening to Lovers In Japan/Reign Of Love

I was in HMV the other day (I seem to go there a lot :laugh3:) with my friend and as we walked in I realised Major Minus was playing :D When it got to the end I was surprised to hear UFO and soon realised they were playing the whole album :D We were in the store until the beginning of DLIBYH and the whole time I was completely distracted from my friend

When we left the store he asked me if I was alright, and I explained that I was distracted by the Coldplay songs (He hates Coldplay ) He was surprised as he didn't realise that he had been hearing Coldplay the whole time :sneaky:

When you giving an account of the book you read for school in front of your classmates, next to your teacher, and you end it saying:

"And... The conclusion of the story made me immediately think of a song, which almost seems to have been written for it..."

*pause - everyone staring at you in complete silence :blank:*

"... And, yes, well... it's by Coldplay, and I...

Everyone's reaction (teacher included) :  *a general buzz begins*

Teacher, in an unconvincing tone: "Um, well, you can post it on Facebook so we can listen to it, because now there's really no time to do it..."

Me: :blank: "Oh, ok... Never minds!" (I didn't expect any different reactions)

... Because everybody knows I love Coldplay :P

LOLOL people cant stand my addiction to coldplay lol

i made a person cry beacuse i sat down next to then (and i dont know them at all lol) and started talking about Coldplay non stop xD

They were suffering from an overload of awesome. It's very common in those who don't listen to Coldplay

1) You wake up with a Coldplay song in your head everyday

2) You HAVE to listen to them everyday

3) Your aunt, (who was a fan of them) gets annoyed of them

4) You know every word to every song

5) The band you mostly listen to]

6) You can talk about them for hours

60% of songs on your iPod are Coldplay

You almost jump out of your seat every time you hear a Coldplay song anywhere but my iPod

When you speak in their lyrics...

I'm serious, the other day I was talking to my brother and I was directly quoting Square One without him realizing it...oops

I wish I was English..Then I would qoute Coldplay all the time.. And people wouldn't look weird at me cause I randomly spoke English. :laugh3:

Haha yeah :D

When you have to write a poem for school, and you just have tons of Coldplay lyrics in your head that would fit into it :D or when someone in your English classes says sth very similar to a Coldplay quote or lyrics, and you suddenly smile like an idiot ;)

when ever your in math class and you see x&y on the graph you just cant stop thinking about coldplay

yes the same here :)

When you feel so proud and awesome and say "YAAAAAY!" when a classmate tells you that since you talked to her about Coldplay she's been listening to their songs a lot and LOVES them!

:wacky:

What magical radio station do you listen to??? :D

*My radio station rarely plays Coldplay. I should just pummel them with requests. :P

Same here. I'm thinking I need to do that, too.

When you're listening to Coldplay and your dog barks for some reason (non-Coldplay related, because she was outside), and you say: "DO NOT INTERRUPT CHRIS!"

 That's great.

Dany, I LOVE your story. That's awesome. I feel bad for those of you who have people get annoyed by your love for the band-for the most part, even if people I know aren't big on the band, they're pretty cool with my love for them. They just chalk it up as yet another one of my obsessions, and they're used to those by now :p.

I definitely understand the whole "waiting around in a place for a song to end" thing. One day my mom was taking me out to work, and I heard "Viva La Vida" on the way out there, and I told her, "You know, we've still got a few more minutes before I go in, we can drive around a couple times...". But turned out we didn't need to do that-the song ended by the time I got to my workplace :D.

^

Therefore I translate their quotes into German sometimes... but nobody notice, that it's in English in a Coldplay song :( :D

^ But you would know that's Coldplay :nice: although, I don't translate quotes too, they would lose their charm, I think

Oftentimes, when I hear a word that could be found in a CP song, it immediately starts playing in my head. Even if I don't think I know the lyrics, it comes subconsciously :D

When you're stressed you listen to Strawberry Swongover and over again and end up drawing this
