Like 10 mins ago, I heard the ending of Violet Hill blasting from the corridor.. I was here in my bedroom, typing stuff on my laptop, when I heard that and I totally threw myself towards the source of the music screaming:

"WHAT IS IT?! WHERE IS IT?! WHAT THE HELL IS IT?!"...

 

So I reached the kitchen to find out the Violet Hill video was on a tv music channel, as my mum was staring at me petrified, jaws quite dropped, remote in hand. When it finished, she told me: "I was changing channel, I wanted to press 3, put I pressed 36 and this came out..."

 

Me: :blank: *still freaked out*

 

Mum: "... But I knew it was Coldplay, and that you'd come! :awesome:"

When your son (8) is a Coldplay-fan too, since before he was born!

In my belly, he moved on the music during the concert in Goffert-Park Nijmegen (2003), as a baby he laughed while listening to Coldplay, and as a toddler he song along the lyrics. Last month, he went to the Coldplay concert in The Hague and had the time of his life at his first concert ever. At one AM he came home, tired and pale, but it was so great to see his face!!

His classmates are all into Justin B* (?!!), but he is not. I think it is pretty cool that I, - as his mum - am able to pass the love for Coldplay on to him.

Wen your at school, your English teacher says "Coldplay are a bit boring" and some other teacher joins in "yeah, they're overrated and I hate the lead singer... What's his name, Chris Martin".... All my friends look at me, the room goes silent and they go " do you know who you just said that in front of" *looks at me*, I enter the conversation

" Coldplay are the best band in the universe, Chris Martin is extremely talented.."

Then a teacher interrupts

"I don't think the singer has a very good voice"

At this point my friends were telling me to calm down, take deep breaths and to bite my tongue.

When your friend mentioned that he has some Tiger Balm so you ask him if he can bring it the next time you meet - finally I will get to experience what Chris smells like!!! :laugh3: Yes, I am insane and unhealthily obsessed :P

Just put an paperclip into the band, and move arround.

You can also open the box, remove the plastic beneath the battery, put some aluminium-foly (don't know the right English word for it) between the battery and the other 'stuff' and the lights turn 'on'. Then close the box. When the lights do not shine anymore - replace the battery :D

When you finally find out what Chris smells like (my friend brought in his Tiger Balm :laugh3:) and he smells REALLY good!!! I think I could get addicted to that smell!

 

Also, YKYATCW you're playing on the Draw Something app and you squeal really very loudly when you get the word 'Coldplay' to draw!!! I was so happy :D Then I spent far too much time drawing it and making it perfect :P

when randomly during dinner out strawberry swing comes on and you get giddy and acknowledge that it is playing. I got some weird looks from the table and started humming the song and not paying attn to the conversation.

When Fix You comes on in an advert and you squeal, even though you've heard it a million times before - it's always better when it's unexpected! :P

 

Also, when you're now addicted to a song that you only listened to because Chris said it was 'fantastic' in an interview that you read (the song is Fast Car by Tracy Chapman, in case anyone wonders, and Chris is right - it is fantastic! Our boys have such good music taste :D)
