Their album is the most awaited of the year. It is top secret. But we know all its secrets. Ce has revealed Chris Martin ...

The June 13 exits' Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends'. What should we expect? We tell preview Chris Martin and partners ... Song for song.

It 'a strange title Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends. Talmente strange that even the same Coldplay are uncertain about why their fourth album bears that name: "Viva La Vida is a painting by Frida Kahlo while the idea of having a choice between two possible titles we have taken from the film of Stanley Kubrick Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the bomb, "says Johnny Buckland. "We like the idea that we can listen to the album and then decide which of the two titles is better. E 'as in those books where you choose the final. We want people to feel free compared to our music," adds Chris Martin, leader of the group.

The great hope of English 2000 change identity. Chris Martin so upset you have not ever heard ... An album that sbanda gender and entrusts his magniloquenza the production of Brian Eno.

It 'a song instrumental dream to open this new disc of Sigur Ròs ... Ops, Coldplay. But it is really the band Chris Martin who plays here? Brian Eno has combined large, this time. After 'africanized' with the Talking Heads Remain In Light and reported to rock Anglo-wave-European U2, veterans from sbornia country-soul of Rattle & Hum, the genius of production put your hands on Viva La Vida ... , The fourth album of Coldplay. The result? Martin & Co. as not you have ever heard.

In Cemeteries Of London are the Smiths playing House Of The Rising Sun, 42 followed by the Queen on the territory of Bohemian Rhapsody and Radiohead on the Paranoid Android, for Lovers In Japan sbirciano in the catalogue of New Order and ordering by e-mail a tour piano with a groove azzeccato. Yes it is even inspired by the Velvet Underground and is supported by arches Bollywood style. In Chinese Sleep Chant (left unnamed book on the cd) the voice of Martin is stravolta so as to be incomprehensible, yet the piece works as a version of Tomorrow Never Knows Beatles. Even when missing the target, they do so with un'onestà disarming, their honour and greater flaw: Lost in, for example, could be their One, if only Chris had written a text pan-religious, suitable to represent divine love and human. Viva La Vida, a piece inspired by a picture of Frida Kahlo, look into the Arcade Fire, without leave, however, that the abyss looks into the Coldplay (they are British, after all). Strawberry Swing has an Afro-beat Irish, with final surprise: the pace that sustains the entire piece is not programmed by a computer but insisted riff is a cello. ... Viva La Vida is their Ok Computer, the less shocking masterpiece of Radiohead and lower, as a inventive, compared to The Sophtware Slump of Grandaddy. Yet, for the quartet of Martin, is a great step forward. Those who seek another Yellow or another Fix You, remain disappointed. Who wants a disc that sounds enveloping will be submerged. The Coldplay (as they knew) died; alive Coldplay!

Meanwhile, preview, the band reveals the secrets of Viva La Vida song for song.

Life In Technicolor

Chris: 'We wanted to start with: a) the best ringtone of all time and, b) a few minutes without my sung, so that even people who loves us could not enjoy a little song'.

Guy: 'At first it was a complete piece, but felt that it was not suited to disc. Of the instrumental part, however, we have always been very happy. That is why we wanted at the beginning '.

Cemeteries Of London

Chris: 'It is inspired by those of Marvel comics that tell stories of ghosts and dark creatures. We have also done a search to see if in the past witches were really burned and drowned. And 'from this interest that was born the song'.

Lost!

Chris: 'In our album there is always a song around which is written everything else. For me, is this. Without the other songs would be there. We have written during a soundcheck after hearing a piece of Blur entitled Sing '.

42

Jonny: 'For two years we tried to write a song without a chorus and verses without genuine. With 42 we have succeeded for the first time '.

Chris: 'E' in our attempt to compose a Bohemian Rhapsody or Paranoid Android.

Lovers In Japan / Reign Of Love

(This and subsequent Yes / Chinese Sleep Chant are two songs into one. The idea is to offer, if downloaded from iTunes, two songs at a price of one, editor's note).

Chris: 'Lovers In Japan speaks to flee, be free. Much of this album covers the escape the power or the influence of other people escape from the rules'.

Jonny: 'Reign Of Love, however, we recorded all live together. The original version lasted 20 minutes. Then, we cut '.

Yes / Chinese Sleep Chant

Chris: 'The idea of Yes comes from a piece of Velvet Underground and inspired their sound. It 'very sexy, so I like it, why talk about tits and things like that. But the hand interpreting a character that I'm not '.

Will: 'In Chinese Sleep Chant Instead, the voice of Chris is totally transformed from the effects, Brian is very committed to this effect'.

Viva La Vida

Chris: 'The idea is to represent what passes in the head of a king or an inept leader who realised that they have not done a great job during his government, in the last ten minutes before everything ends. While the revolutionaries are already beating at his door '.

Violet Hill

Chris: 'He speaks of working for someone you do not like at all. And 'our first attempt in protest song'.

Strawberry Swing

Chris: 'It marks the beginning of the end of the album. It is the beginning of the "everything is ok". We love because it's warm, positive. When three months between all the noise around us will be killed, I think this will be the favourite song from many of our fans'.

Death And All His Friends

Will: 'At first was entitled School and was the introduction of another song, Rainy Day'.

Chris: 'E' was made a little in Barcelona and a bit "on the road." E 'international, then, and a part was recorded eight months of the first'.

I've put the unveiled deatils in bold and underlined...

20 minute Reign of love! Half the current album length! :shocked2:

reign of love is me least favorite track

20 minute Reign of Love. Wow. I wish Coldplay would release some "rough cut" material at some time in the future. It'd be cool to hear the process of their songs being built and rebuilt.

I don't think bands release stuff like that very often, though. My first encounter with it was on the re-releases of Fleetwood Mac's albums.

Yeah I know it's in Italian, but anyway, scans if anyone wants them (they're pretty big)
