The beginning vocals of cemeteries of london remind me of House of the Rising Sun ;)

 

I've listened to the whole album only one time and it didn't satisfy me at all.

The songs start and end and everything between sounds just so weak, although the songs are quite atmospherical.

Maybe my expectations were just too big. I wanted them to come back to the roots, back to parachutes and a rush of blood to the head.

Honestly i cant really tell my fave one yet but ill bet viva la vida could be it or LOST!

 

I reckon Violet hill is one fo the poorest songs in this album...May it be that it has one great guitar riff but thats all about it really! Other than that, just a song thats too much a glory pop song for the charts!

It's very, very odd that you don't like Violet Hill for being too chart friendly, yet your two favourite songs are FAR more chart-friendly than VH. VLV and Lost! are by a long margin the most commercial songs on the album.

Best song off the entire album is easily 42. Lyrics are incredible and you add to that 3 different parts which add a new level to Coldplay's greatness.
