Listened to this album twice really getting into it - I think its an improvement on their last album It still moves whats your opinion?

i like it still moves alot more. the album is ok but i wouldnt mind myself to it

My Morning Jacket Set To Release Live Album & Concert Film

 

Following the release of their fourth critically acclaimed full-length, Z, My Morning Jacket is about to release what is surely to become their quintessential body of work: Okonokos, a 2-disc live recording and concert film capturing MMJ in all their glory.

 

Okonokos, conceived by Jim James, and it is as much a question as it is an answer. It is an enigma wrapped around a riddle. Okonokos is whatever you want it to be.

 

The live concert was created with the aid of the trailblazing lighting designer Marc Brickman (well-known for his work with Pink Floyd), and filmed by director Sam Erickson. Okonokos: Double Live Album was mixed by Michael Brauer (Bob Dylan, Coldplay) and mastered by pre-eminent engineer Bob Ludwig.

 

This concert film, done in 5.1 surround sound, will be screened in select cities this fall.

I haven't bought this album yet but I heard it was awesome. I saw these guys live opening for Pearl Jam, they rock really hard.

Im liking their new one so far. Not sure if I like it as much as 2005's Z but its good. Very Band Of Horses in a way with a beach vibe in places and Southern rock in others...

 

Also, check out the new Fleet Foxes! Very exciting after several listens.

Yup My Morning Jacket been around since 99 I believe. Last Album was Z. It was their "experimental" and it was good. New one is called Evil Urges and Im groovn to it. Just thought Id share some of my music likes beside CP on here... If you listen to them, let me know what you think

I only got into them with Z... The Tennessee Fire was just ok. The same can be said for At Dawn and It Still Moves.... All of those had some hits and misses... I would suggest Z. Just right for me more hits then misses.

Their new album is interesting :)

i like the new album. the best song is the first.:)

Z is one friggin masterpiece.
