June 10, 200818 yr on Jo Whiley's show on Thursday :D Just fill out the form here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/jowhiley/feature_thepeoplevscoldplay_form.shtml P.S. I know there's a Jo Whiley thread around here somewhere but I can't find it for the life of me :bomb:
June 10, 200818 yr :D Thanks for posting, great news for people who missed out last time. (Although it looks for UK people only, as they may ring you up. Oh well I'll still try)
June 10, 200818 yr Thanks Mich! :nice: I asked them one! :D:D:D:D:D I said: "Not many bands stay together as long as you have while maintaining their huge popularity, I would love to know what keeps you all motivated to keep making music to the high standard that you do? I just heard the new album, it's going to be a classic!"
June 10, 200818 yr Author Don't think so, think you can send one in wherever you are. Have you tried?
June 10, 200818 yr Hey Mich could you come up with another great question to get picked and then let me steal it from you ? :P
June 10, 200818 yr Don't think so, think you can send one in wherever you are. Have you tried? no but i will :)
June 10, 200818 yr I've got a question....Why is the US leg of your tour all FUCKED UP???...think Jo will answer that one???

June 10, 200818 yr I'm thinking she'll not ask that one...but it would be great if SOMEONE would answer it
June 10, 200818 yr I'm thinking she'll not ask that one...but it would be great if SOMEONE would answer it I agree, along with explaining why there are no standing sections on the UK tour, why there was no official pre-sale, why all the best seats were sold to personal callers at the venues where touts could get hold of them easily, and why Ticketmaster then put more tickets on sale yesterday without any prior notification.;)
June 10, 200818 yr Author Oh can we please not get into another no standing debate, apart from anything else this is questions for Coldplay and I don't think they actually have anything to do with the seating arrangements at their gigs. They didn't even know their album was coming out on a Thursday, nevermind anything else.
June 10, 200818 yr ^True, and as I've said before I'm pretty sure the band themselves are in no way to blame for any of this. However, I still think somebody should come forward and answer these questions, as they are legitimate concerns that a lot of people have. It isn't good that everyone's being ignored.;)
June 10, 200818 yr Author Fair enough. Then ask the question and see what happens :) Maybe they won't have the answers themselves but may be alerted to fan concerns.

June 10, 200818 yr Fair enough. Then ask the question and see what happens :) Maybe they won't have the answers themselves but may be alerted to fan concerns. Of course I would never contemplate bothering the band themselves with these questions as they aren't involved with tour organisation per se. Maybe if I can find out who the tour manager is, I can send him or her an email. That isn't a bad idea.
June 10, 200818 yr Oh c'mon, don't complain, look at it this way: atleast you've got a tour, and there will be concerts around the uk, which is more than I can say for Croatia. Unfortunately it would be impossible for them to visit every country where there are fans. I sometimes have to fly to the UK myself to see bands that never tour Germany (e.g. Level 42 in October). I don't have a problem with that.

Yeah, I know that, I'd really like to see them live but, since their USA tour is during summer, that's pretty far for me to go, heh. They're touring Italy, and going to Budapest even, which is probably the closest here, but I won't be able to go because my school starts exactly when their Europe tour starts: September 1st. There's still a hope they'll be doing another tour sometime, but that's not my point, the point is, be happy with what you've got :)
June 10, 200818 yr I did ask Jo a question about the US tour...like you said Mich, maybe it'll get asked and even though the boys can't do anything about it they have people who can...

June 10, 200818 yr I am with Magnus on this one ... But I know what you're saying, Mark. The problem is that the same countries are ignored everytime a band tours, no matter how big and popular it is. And I'm not speaking solely about Coldplay here. But Magnus - you will get a chance to see Bob Dylan for example - nothing like that would happen in Slovenia. ;)
