I have uni exams next week, and the new album comes out this saturday.

I have been procrastinating to the max, spending too much time on the net looking up all the reviews of the new album, listening to their songs a million times and looking up anything to do with viva.

 

If only there was an exam on coldplay.

 

This album is the greatest distraction of all time.

 

Oh well, back to the study.

 

Anyone else having this problem??

i had the same problem in april and early may. really, ever since mid-march when we found those secret website screencaps, i haven't been able to do much else besides be on this board. it didn't affect my grades at all for a number of reasons, but the amount of attention i paid to my uni studies plummeted. so i know EXACTLY what you mean :D.

 

at any rate, i poured myself into coldplay more than anything else this year because for once i actually had the time to, and because i wasn't so fond of uni at all, so i needed to find something that was completely disconnected to everything having to with it. ergo, countless hours on the board doing coldplay-related things with you lovely people :nice:

 

at the end of the month, though, i'm moving to the netherlands and will have to go cold-turkey from coldplaying :sad:.

I had this distraction leading up to my exams but now they're over and I passed them all. Just make lots of flashcards and pray St. Peter will call your name!

Oh, I'm praying. Praying for saturday to come quicker.

haha! another melbournean, welcome! actually i'm in exactly the same situation. i'm from australia (don't let me country fool you muaha!) but yes, exams start this saturday for me and knowing the album comes out the same day... biggest distraction, but as a coldstainer it's extra hard as i have resisted the temptation to hear the album before it's in my hands... and so the study continues... :book2:

I had my first exam today, and the next is tomorrw, and look what I'm doing! Reading your message about the exact thing that I shouldn't be doing...

 

It's just too exciting. Last week I had a major assignment due and actually displayed some control and didn't d/l the album until after I had handed it in. Took a lot of will power but I'm glad I did it. =D

Same here.. last month I had all the final tests and my mind was completely on Coldplay.. Don't worry! I have studied listening to Coldplay and I passed ;)

finals start the 18th for me. album comes out the 17th

I just can't concentrate on my studies because of coldplay. I wonder if I am going to regret after receive the results soon. But, so far, I'm doing very good. My last exam was when the violet hill was released, a month ago. I am quite surprise because my results are better than what I expected before. :D

Yep I'm in with you on that. I'm graduating high school this year, I have two exams on wednesday. And here I am listening to Coldplay and I'm here on the board. And I only stop in here randomly every few months. Course I have to be here finding out about the new album rather then studying...which I probably SHOULD get back to...;)

LOL!!!! Sign me up. I started uni exams on Friday and I have been SO unbelievably distracted by VLV and all the reviews and this site....so glad I finish tomorrow- I've been saving the album as my post-exam treat and it's killing me!!!!

im sitting in class right now and we are supposed to be doing this paper but i just can't concentrate because all i'm thinking about is going into my car and listening to coldplay on my drive home. and im probably going to fail this paper. =P
