June 18, 200818 yr Okay, so obviously when an album comes out we're bound to compare this and compare that. We're going to want to pick favorites, and figure out whats gonna be on that dreaded Coldplay Greatest Hits in another ten years  (anyone seen Extras with Chris?) But for me, I cannot, based on the ridiculous amount of times I've listened to the album, and do not believe I will ever have a favorite song from this album...because they are all fucking amazing! Sure, I bet if I was forced, I could rank them, but you'd be forcing me to go to the hundredth decimal place to figure it out, maybe even thousandth. Chris's statement about this album being a bunch of colors, or the idea that its a story, and the fact that it is not very long, makes it impossible for me to ever skip or repeat a song. Every song has something magnificent in it, when they're doing standard Coldplay fair or when theyre breaking out into something different...nothing on this album is bad. So, does anyone else agree that they cannot pick favorites?
June 18, 200818 yr I agree 100%. Whenever I'm asked what my favourite track is, I really cannot. I can't even listen to songs separately, I have to listen to the whole album all the way through. It definitely tells a story from beginning to end and it's impossible to pick one track that stands out, as they are all so different.
June 18, 200818 yr Me! Although Viva la Vida and Lovers in Japan/ Reign of Love have a special place in my heart...
June 18, 200818 yr I haven't yet listened to individual tracks because everytime I play the album I have to hear it from start to finish! I love every song, where as with the 3 previous albums there was at least 1 song I didn't like. I couldn't pick a fave, if I did it would be a different one every day!
June 18, 200818 yr I love mosttttt of every song, it's just i can't get through that Reign of Love, it just doesn't appeal to me like it does some. but every other song, most definitely. i listen like a story but just with RoL torn out. ;)
June 18, 200818 yr I think ROL is one of the catchiest songs on the album, it needs some meat on its bones, but its catchy... But I agree, I find myself starting the album from the beginning and listening all the way through. Or if its the CD in my car I just continue from wherever I left off from the last car ride haha. This album has become the soundtrack to my life an I'm so glad its finally here :nice:
June 18, 200818 yr no i got favorites and least favorites. i like everything. i love most of them. but i only like yes and reign of love
June 18, 200818 yr Every song is great, I've been listening to this from start to finish over again ever since it leaked, I can't listen to anything else!
June 18, 200818 yr Yeh I pretty much love every song on the album, there were a few songs that took time to grow on me like Lovers in Japan and Strawberry swing and some others like COL and Yes that I loved instantly but I love them all now. It really is a fantastic album and I can't believe the reviews that I've seen of the album, still haven't seen one that gives it full marks and properly praises it , why can't they see how great this album is!
June 18, 200818 yr Every song is great, I've been listening to this from start to finish over again ever since it leaked, I can't listen to anything else! neither can I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhh, it's just AMAZING!
June 18, 200818 yr i do love every song......but right now i do have a favourite (it's changed a few times) and that is lovers in japan........im tryin to learn the piano riff....but i dont have a clue :laugh3:
June 18, 200818 yr Every song has its' own original style. Of course, one song will appeal to me at a certain moments of my life. :) But overall, I think the album itself is a package of different emotions.
June 20, 200818 yr I love pretty much the whole album, not like but LOVE. "Reign of Love" almost drags it down a bit though...
June 20, 200818 yr Yes, I love the whole album! Whenever I try to pick favorites and narrow it down, I end picking like 75% of it anyway so why bother? I enjoy all the songs in different ways. That is a rare thing.
