The way I see it is that this song is quite unnessecary. It KNOWS it will touch a nerve with somepeople and therefore it's more of a novelty song for that purpose.

I'm not homophobic but the thing is for equality between heterosexuals and homosexuals, being homosexual must be an shocking thing.

 

It's like I recall this gay right equality activist saying he was pleased when JK Rowling came out and said Dumbledore was gay, but he wished it was "more obvious" in the book.

 

That kinda defeats his claim. He's looking for equality, so it does not need to be obvious then surely?
