I hope you like it, and if you do you can buy the songs from the movie on Itunes. I bought the CD and it's amazing as well.

whos in it and whats it about:)

I loved this film! Quite simple and I think that's what made it beautiful to me. Just a story of two strangers really that get united by music ("Falling Slowly" is a great song and I was so happy Glen and Marketa(?) won the Oscar for it!)

still have to watch it, Ill do that tomorrow than bump this thread with my opinions and reviews:D

I really like that movie. The soundtrack is great as well.

I think I've already made a thread about this movie but never mind :P

Anyway, I really enjoyed the film, but I think that it has no sense for people who don't like Glen's music. Markéta (yes, you've spelled it right ;) ) comes from my country and they have a concert here July 28th. I'm really looking forward to this concert :D

Aww this film is a hidden gem! I love it so much! Glen hansard is the best songwriter ireland has

Oh I'd LOOVE to see the movie..unfortunately I only had the chance to hear the soundtrack as far as now...

the film should have been in the cinemas on the 30th of May in Italy...but no one of the 2 cinemas in my city showed it:cry:....

I am still looking for the DvD everytime I enter a shop but i never find it...I guess I'll have to order it trhough internet

You should be able to get the dvd online for cheap now. I just bought my own copy today at Barnes & Noble because it was in their $9.99 promo sale.

As for the movie not making sense to people who don't like Glen's music, I actually didn't hear of Glen until I saw this movie (I'm sorry!) and I think it was better that way for me. But now that I have, I'm glad :) He's great!

So....Did you kids watch it yet?

No, for some reason I keep putting it off:confused:

I just saw it. All I can say is...WOW. This may now be my favorite movie. I'm listening to "Falling Slowly" from the soundtrack as I type. This movie was so beautiful. It had pure honest love and emotion and wasn't shy in sharing even the slightly uncomfortable moments between two people with obvious chemistry.

The music was better than most Coldplay music even, and I'm not afraid to say that.

The entire film was flawlessly made, and should be seen by anyone who needs to realize that not all films are what you see today. This movie is brilliant story-telling and should no doubt be seen more than "once" as the reviews all say. This is a movie that is definitely worth taking the time to see.

Thanks to everyone who made this move, it is one of the greatest ever made.

I saw it two weeks ago, I don't know if it's just because I love Ireland and irish music but god this movie is just amazing, simple and I was on the verge of crying at the end. I love how you can tell they were so deeply connected yet nothing happened (at least phisically) between them :nice:

It's one of my favorite movies of all time, it didn't follow any of the typical hollywood plot trends, not superficial, just honest, realistic and beautiful all the way through.

I love that part though when he invites her up to his room and when she's about to leave and he wants her to stay for you know lol:wink3: and she's like fuck you. HaHa, I love that scene.

Apparently there's going to be a sequel called "Twice".
