  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

here's a comment I once got.. and consider very true... asking peple to keep their opinions to themselves on a discussion board is really not right...

and that's the basic reason why i am keeping posting in all the live threads why they haven't played ROL and Yes!

i hope some one understands if not no problem i won't mind.

so who sent in the tuesday question?

i have a feeling too little people did for debs to notice...

Chill pill anyone?

I didn't, she didn't seem too pleased with the mass messaging so it's probably for the best. Once a week would be a good idea though. Maybe every Monday. :idea2:

*raises hand* :P

every monday is fine I guess be prepared debs..

Nah, you don't need one :P

Least she'll know to prepare herself on a Monday. Will be a nice way to welcome in the new working week

Q. Dear Oracle, since you are all knowing and so wise, do the guys ever take your advice? If so, can you advise Chris to start listening to Coldplay more often? I'm thinking this is why he sometimes forgets lyrics, just a thought *smile*

The Oracle replies:

They get it even if they don't ask for it! And have been known to take it, or so it would appear. On one occasion I recall the words "Good advice" were proffered.

Chris did admit a few months ago that they would need to learn how to play Trouble again. Always seems to give him a spot of er, trouble! Tee hee.

What's that "Good advice" bit supposed to mean? :stunned:

i read that in a concert in prague they played fix you 2 times because it didn't came well at first time.

if Chris feels that he didn't played a song well he'll either stop it and also they may rehearse it once again.

in Today show they rehearsed Clocks how many times i don't know,i've all those videos.

And also basically they're the people at the end who have to play in front of many people and they do know if they don't perform well it may cause trouble so they knows how to handle solutions as well. They don't have to listen specifically to people's advises and opinions i think.

*raises hand* :P

I'm in!!!

I didn't send any question today, but I will next monday, for sure!

Which question?

Oh it wasn't directed at you Aleja :nice: I just meant generally. There's some people in the live section that just go on and on in every single thread on every single show about what they're playing and not playing, bitching and moaning etc...I just meant that's what annoys me. :idea2:

its not so much the complaining that your favourite song wasn't played as the people who on the one hand moan that the setlist doesn't change but then in the next thread moan that their favourite song was taken out and replaced. either you want the setlist to vary or you want to see your favourite song every time. Its extremely unlikely you're going to get both.

it may seem irritating to you that we are asking them to play the songs.

But we people are sending requests to them not to you to play it.

if you feel uncomfortable what can we do?

we want them to play the songs and we will send requests, banners and everything we can to make them play it.

just because you felt bad we couldn't stop for your sake.

its our right as fans to ask them to play our favorite songs of our favorite band,if we are not able to do it then there is no point in liking this band itself.

I asked Nettie from my coldplay .com that whether she sent a message to Chris to play Yes and she said yes she did it,she kept a banner before going to the show with Play Yes on it and Chris saw it and started to play it afterwards she kept thanks message behind that banner and showed it to him.

well even i also opened a petition thread for ROL and it succeeded.

we're so happy that they does it for us.But you people come in the middle and say all your objection for us that we should not keep on asking them.

what's the point:thinking: well i will never mind this.

yes, I understand wanting your favourite song played, but why keep mentioning it in every single live thread on here. yes, I'm sure that people connected to Coldplay read this board occasionally, but I'm quite sure they don't read every single post, because they're busy on tour.

To everyone who has petitions going to get songs played:

It is great that you want Coldplay to play a song that you love. I get it. There are a few songs I would love to see them perform as well.

I think what gets irritating is when nearly every single post, especially in the live thread (like Mich said) is either asking for a song or bemoaning the fact that it didn't get played.

If Coldplay plays the songs you ask for and you believe it is because of the petitions you have started, then great. Have one thread for your petition or keep it in your signature - that way if they come here then they will see it. It seems unnecessary to keep posting about it in whatever thread you happen to be in at the moment.

Rant over.:)

Flame on. I know its coming;)

agreed

and that's the basic reason why i am keeping posting in all the live threads why they haven't played ROL and Yes!

i hope some one understands if not no problem i won't mind.

they have played Reign of Love & Yes, on numerous occasions. You've also complained that the setlist hasn't changed. Which do you want?

yes, I understand wanting your favourite song played, but why keep mentioning it in every single live thread on here. yes, I'm sure that people connected to Coldplay read this board occasionally, but I'm quite sure they don't read every single post, because they're busy on tour.

We people as fans have our right to ask them if they don't change the setlist and if they will never play our favorite song live.

why are you ranting at us then?

if you don't agree with me then its your opinion don't pour it on me.i have nothing to do with it.

I'm not ranting. I'm just expressing my opinion that its got very boring people keep moaning in every thread. particularly when those people are the same people who are then contradicting themselves.

yes you have the right to ask them to change the setlist, but why somewhere that isn't going to affect them. the Nettie example works because she had a sign at the concert, where he boys could see it.

ok Jen this next time i go to a concert i'll do what Nettie did in the show she went.

i'll see whether it works or not, also i asked previously many questions to Oracle too but i got a very less response like they played in only 2 shows.

but any way i'll take a banner with me next time...

yes' date=' I'm sure that people connected to Coldplay read this board occasionally, but I'm quite sure they don't read every single post, because they're busy on tour. [/quote']Really? :o

Q. Dear Oracle, in October, it will be the first anniversary of my girlfriend and I as a couple. Do you have any ideas of a gift that could make her love me for one more year (and many more years...)?

Thank you for your help!

The Oracle replies:

Well this is an idea I have had for years and was saving for something like a marriage proposal but it could work for birthdays and other celebrations. It's very important that you make absolutely certain that you use the correct paint for this...

Take a plate and using special paint that won't poison your beloved or come off when in contact with water or food, write a personal message of love and decorate. When it's ready cook her favourite meal and present on the plate. Take joy in the look on her face when she clears her plate and sees what you did! You have to hope she's hungry though or it could go wrong!

Q. Oracle. Does the band have their private jet? Because yesterday I saw a picture of them getting off a plane with 'VIVA' on it.

The Oracle replies:

It's not the band's private jet, as they don't have one. They charter planes as and when needed for the tour. It's become quite usual for the planes to come with the album artwork on the side, which is a nice touch don't you think?

In answer to Liz' question who wanted to know why one never sees another plane whilst on a flight... I do all the time! I see loads of planes. So if you should happen to peer out of the window and see a small jet with VIVA on the side, you'll know who it is!

Q. Hi Oracle!

Can I do your your job when you go on a holiday???

The Oracle replies:

Ah my dear Rebeca, you weren't to know what a sore subject that is right now. The Oracle should be on a 2 week holiday in the sun but due to the collapse of the airline is sat at home, in bed with a cold, miserable and wanted to find another holiday quickly.

Anyway, It's an interesting idea and one I have thought about but I already have my absences covered but thanks for the offer!

Really? :o

yup! I know of one person who definitely has an account & comes on here occasionally

:o:o
