NATO would NEVER do anything about this, no one will. Risk a all out war with Russia is something no nation in NATO would do nor the EU. Russia has the upper hand in every way in world politics. It's feared by most of Europe, too powerful for America to take alone, thus they control most the politics and will continue to do so more in the coming years. I've said it before, Europe bow to your new leader, the Soviets.

 

And in America, we'll bow to the Chinese.

I am really curious what the people in that area think. There were separatists, but it's possible they were supported by Russia in the first place. So what do these people really want? That is the important thing. This is a very small area to get in a war over. I think it would be wise for Georgia to just surrender the area. It's better than surrendering the country, and Russia does not wish to topple their government because of the reputation it would give, if I understand the news I've heard. I certainly hope the United States does not take part in this.

 

One thing I like to hear about in the news is "The UN and the United states are calling for an immediate ceasefire." In other words "please stop this, or we will be forced to do nothing"
