It had come to that point where I couldn't live with him unknowing about my crush any longer. At a party Friday night I got my best friend to tell the guy that I like him. He responded that he doesn't like me that way. :( I think I kind of deep down knew it, but it still hit hard.

I wondered how he felt about it, so I've just chatted with him and said I still wanted us to be friends. He really wanted to still be friends. Though I may need some time to be "normal" around him.

So mixed emotions right now - I'm kind of heartbroken but also beginning a new chapter in my life with "Lost!" as my "soundtrack" leading me with the line "Just because I'm losing doesn't mean I'm lost!". I'm going to be a new and better me and happier about myself and my life.

 

...I'll be fine. :) It's not going to get me down. I want to sort out my life and feel great! :cool: He'll be the one missing something. :smug:

 

There are plenty more fish in the Danish Sea

I've been... busy with school, when not just feeling guilty about not having done homework. :confused: So to be honest, I guess I haven't been on coldplaying because I lost the overview of the site and didn't want to come here and either lie saying I was great or feel embarrassed admitting that things weren't so fine. It doesn't get easier with time. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing that we were so good friends when I let him know. Everyone should do the favour to themselves to let the crush know earlier on, instead of either getting to either that point where you suffer under it or where you just don't care anymore, so you just want to get it over with. Believe me, I do not feel brave at all - more like a coward. I've been scared to death of telling him for months!

I know it's a difficult situation, but I think it's a good thing that you two were good friends when you told him. I know you really apretiate his friendship, and by what you've told us about him I'm pretty sure he does too :nice: So no matter how awkward things might be right now, just give it time... before you know it the whole thing will be in the past, and you two will go back to being as comfortable as ever with just being friends. Just don't get desperate by the situation, I'm sure you'll be fine :nice:

The play is A Midsummer's Nights Dream by Shakespeare! It's sound kinda boring because it's Shakespeare, but this play is actually funny :D!
