You got the most important thing. Umbrella for London!

Umbrellas are usually useless, as they're not designed to cope with wind, and rain is often accompanied by wind.;)

:lol:yup. and she got me a gift card for a book store, so that i can get myself a guidebook/maps to get around. she's so encouraging of me!

i just texted Christa, to see if she could pop in. but said she's not sure, she's still got visitors...

EDIT: yea, I should've asked for a big bright yellow poncho, huh?

Well you can at least try to use it, if its not working well no one died from few drops of rain in London. or am I wrong?

People died from embarrassment when caught out in the rain, and also died from acid-rain, back before the days of the clean air act.

I want socks for christmas, but no-body got me any :(

Well some kind of head protection and a waterproof coat is far more effective and practical in my opinion.;)

did you think i could CONTAIN my squueeeing??? no way. well, not to ALL my friends, but the ones i know would be supportive.

actually, i should ask you guys...i have a slight dilemma. i told a friend about going to London, and she was all 'OH MY GOD, i've always wanted to go! and I never have anyone to go with, maybe we could go together, split hotel, etc..." :stunned:

I tried to say "but umm i'm going to see Coldplay. I'm going to be hanging out with crazy-for-Coldplay people." But I don't think she gets it. And I know her, she's a big party-pooper if she's not doing exactly what she likes to do. So I can see her not wanting to go to the Bakery with me, and bitching the whole time. And there's NO WAY this trip is going to be party-pooped on!!! Plus, I'm going to hang out with you guys....

So, though it might sound bad, how can I tell her that I really don't think it's a good idea she comes????(It might sound like I'm a horrible person, but let me give you this ex--when I was all crazy excited about having snuck into that Yahoo/Nissan show, I told her about it, and she was not even paying attention, yawning and rolling her eyes. So yea, you really think she's gonna enjoy herself when I'm like "im meeting people i've never seen in real life to go stand in front of a building where Coldplay recorded VLV???:inquisitive::lol:

London is a nice city.

Salisbury is nicer though ;)

Hope you like them. :D

Do they have good toe wear protection, because I go though socks at an alarming basis due to my big toe being rather big.

nope I really didn'tt hink so :D

so just tell her you;v already taken care of loads of things, such as hotel, flight etc she won't be able to travel with you, and maybe just mention you're not exactly going there alone.. just somewhere work Joe into that story

is coldplay playing there too? :wideeyed:

They do. Someone made this huge study about them and they have powerful (never seen that kinda power in socks industry) toe wear protection. :P

hey, it's a present! take it or leave it!!!:laugh3: (just make sure to get the receipt to exchange for extra-reinforced toes socks)

Oh yeah, if I mention Joe...that's more explaining...she'll be like SO, IS HE CUTE, ARE YOU GUYS TOGETHER, blah blah blah:lol:....and when I tell her it's not like that, she'll just roll her eyes at me.:dozey: Sigh, it's hard to explain, she's a nice person, but can be a pain in the ass. I know it makes me sound terrible...I've been putting off that conversation, but at the same time I don't want her to be like saving up her money for months, and then I tell her don't come or whatever polite way there is to say it. That's even worse. But I'm afraid she's not gonna be understanding of this...any.way...my therapy session time is up!:D

what she said ! the Joe excuse is a good idea.. of course if you're ready for the 'who's this guy?', 'is he your new bf?', 'do you know him well enough to travel to London..' bla bla bla..

Hopefully you'll work this out, because I dont want that weekend not to be as you expect it to be. and dont want you to get all stressed out about planning it!

edit : we thought about the same reaction she would have.. and I dont even know her. I guess I know people who are like her. So I totally understand, and that doesnt make you a terrible person. She's kinda imposing herself.. if I may say so.

Sadly not :(

But Morrissey is :)

The largest venue only holds 1000 people (yet it has a car-park for 1500 cars), so Coldplay are a bit too big to play indoors in Salisbury, although there are several large outdoor areas in which they can play :)

I wanna be there too. But I cant.

thanks for the input guys...:nice: I'll figure something out; I guess honesty is the best policy, though it might not be the most polite.

wait, I'm traveling WITH Joe?!?!:uhoh: LOL I think we'll be meeting IN London, 'cause I think he's going to Manchester show, so he'll be in England way before me, and also he's going from California, and I"m in New Jersey. But once there, of course, we'll all be together. One happy dysfunctional, international family:dance:

And don't worry...NOTHING and NO ONE is stopping me from going to London and having a FANFUCKINGTASTIC time!:D:D:D

ANYWAY. Enough London talk, Antonia is feeling bad. Sorry!:\

Chavi, you got a new job??? Saving for all your trips in 2009???:)

:curtain:

chavi you've got a new job? :surprised:

i hope everybody is doing fine.
