I definitely agree with Chavi and Pris... I think it's not so easy to just be friends with someone who you have been in a serious relationship with. It's always going to get messy.

Ren, I think what I'm gonna say will be the common advice. But you need to talk to her, and not on the phone, but face to face. You should clear this up or you won't feel any better. Try to understand why you're feeling jealous about it, and why you still feel bad about the break up even though you decided to be friends. She cleary isnt over you.. I mean she shouldn't call you half drunk and let her ex hanging up on you. If I was her and did the same, I would obviously try to make you jealous and try to trigger some reaction! i dont know her, so I'm just guessing. But it seems like she needs a good talk too.

I really hope you won't feel crappy anymore and that all will be good for you !

I know i have to do that but i don't realy want to cos i'll probably act like a jealous bf and we aren't officially back together so i have to pretend to be cool with the whole situation and damn, this feeling is killing me :bigcry:

I've definitely experienced your part of the equation, and being in that situation sucks to no end.

 

I don't know how long has been since the breakup, but in my humble experience time appart did the trick. You can't possibly engage in a "friendship" with someone that you love and says that loves you back when things are this messed up... is no good for either of you :confused:

 

You gotta talk and decide what is it that you both want.. if oyu wanna give it a try, do it.. if your not sure, stop the calls before going to bed, that's dangerous behavior and it's not gonna take you anywhere good :\

Totally, especially cos if i react and tell her i got jealous she might tell me to piss off cos we're not really back together and i'd even lose her friendship and i so don't want that. Damn! This sucks :disappointed:

i am derranged becuase this is probably the longest span of non-drinking for me (except for when i was pregnant with my two beautiful kids)

and i have lost 5 pounds ( from lack of appetite from meds)

so maybe we should start an advice column thread?

Ahh you're right pris! And nah its not like that at all, i'm not a macho guy who thinks he owns the woman he dates. It's was more like a wake up call and made me realize if i only cared or if i actually love her. I had this pain in my chest last night and i felt sick and i didnt even get to sleep ( went to bed at 1 am and woke up at 3 am and still up) I was actually afraid to fall in love again cos it was way too painful last time with someone else so i became kinda cold except with her and now i'm totally confused :(

I'll talk to her eventually but dont know ahhh.

i have really not been able to eat anything but toast and tea and the meds cause lack of appetite. it;s not the stomach virus one where you throw up. i just cant eat. which is a first for me.
