My humble suggestion....LOTS of candles, if you can. It'll easily make everything look "romantic," and everyone looks good in candle light:wink:. It's also a cheap option, you don't need fancy expensive candles, and should be reasonably easy to find. But the Christmas lights sound like the best idea! Good luck with the decorating, and hope everything turns out well! I was maid of honor for one of my best friend this summer, and it was very much a "home-made" wedding(we put together the center pieces, for ex), and though it was a lot of work, it came out nice, and it felt good to help my friend:nice:

I totally agree with you, I've been thinking this all year long, but especially lately!!!
