don't forget to show us your postcards in the sticky thread

Yeah, when I looked in to setting one up (gosh, that feels like so long ago!!!) it looked like the recipient had to pick them up.

hello everybody!

i only have one last remark or question:

the logo and the template is too big, isn't it? it is too big for a normal postcard...or is my fault?

i have clicked on th download button but it appears in a huge size that never fits on the postcard with the normal sizes...

??

download the image, and when you print it (using a program such as windows picture and fax viewer on PCs), select "fit photo to frame" or other similar option and the template will print on the size paper you have your printer set to print on :D. i printed them out this way, and they look FABULOUS

Thank you for clearing that up Debs!!!! :D

Japan and Australia..... that's february and march, right??

Mmmm...... maybe we could set the sending deadline for mid-december and the handing over to mid-january while they're probably still home???

........ just thinking out load here, what do you guys think????

i thought we wanted to have them given to the boys a bit before/at christmas, approximately? i actually like the idea of actually handing over the cards in early or mid january, but what does everyone else think about them being non-holiday cards? i just thought that was part of the plan :P

thanks again, debs :nice:. you're completely awesome.

That was part of the plan, and i personally hope we can still make it a christmas gift!!!! :nice:

I only mentioned that because today is november 26, and even though the postcards from the US, UK and many others will make it on time, there's a lot of countries <coughthewholeoflatinamericacough> that will not make it on time, specially with the holidays so close now...... :(

i agree :D. anyway, people still receive christmas/holiday cards around new year's. i say make the deadline for sending like, december 22 and ask debs if she can give the cards to the guys around new year's, but that's just me

I agree with Chelsea :D

I always do

I agree with Chelsea :D

I always do

It's impossible not to agree with her :D

I just would like to know what does "around new year's" stand for..... after or before new year's????

 you guys are too much :nice:

i mean shortly before or shortly after new year's...i know debs said it was up to us, but i think that the EXACT date would have to be determined by her and her schedule, like when she's able to SEE the guys to actually give the cards to them. we can't really say "deliver them to the guys on december 29, please" because what if she has a dentist appointment or chris has to take apple to the doctor, or the guys are planning a mini christmas gathering at the bakery or something? i say we give her a general timeframe like "a few days before or after new year's" to make it realistic and easier on everyone

you know we love you Chelsea!!!!!

but i say after!!!!!

i think as much of a time frame we can give <while mantaining the "christmassy" part of it>, the better ;)

Maybe the first week of january?? Or the second week, that totally depends on Debs....

sounds good to me :D

for some reason, i've been kind of convinced recently that like 80% of the 180-something people that said they WOULD send a card in the poll won't actually get around to doing it at all :\

mayybe.

but at least the ones we know for sure are being sent look AMAZING. i'm shocked at out talented you guys are at postcard making. business venture anyone? :P

I have the same feeling :(

Has anyone else watched this project from the very beginning and see it unfold into a who has the most artistic ability or most time on their hands contest? Just my thought

it could be. i understand how some people might see it that way. it'd be a shame though.

i don't think it matters if its a masterpiece, or just a few choice words on a store bought postcard.. its the idea of this being a collected effort to let them know how much they mean to all of us.

and for the record, i've been attempting to draw different types of butterflies for dayys now, and still haven't gotten past them looking like peices of popcorn with attenae :P but its alright, because we aren't being judged on talent, but rather on sincerity. so i'm sending something nonetheless.

even if it is covered with popcorn ..things. :nice:

I don't see it doing that.

I see some very excited people who want to share what they've created. If they've gone into lots of time and detail, its because of who will eventually be looking at their postcards, not to show off here.

do you see the posts in the live section as a contest as to who can get the best meet with the band, or as posts by a bunch of very excited people who wanted to share with like-minded people who would understand their enthusiasm?

^^^

Exactly ;)

Ok, weighing in on the date issue...

I see that the tour starts up again mid-February. Why don't we ask Debs to pass them on just before they go on tour again (some light reading for the flight to Japan perhaps???)

When they get home after the UK tour, they won't want to think about band stuff, just enjoy the time with their families. Would be better if they recieved them when they're all together, don't you think?

I get your point..... we don't wanna disturb them in their down time....... but i don't think she's gonna hand them to the boys when they're appart, she would probably wait until they're back on bussiness..... maybe hand them over at the bakery???

i don't know, for some reason that's what i thought..... :P
