One month has passed and Babel has returned, along with Jimenez. The problem now bothering me is Jimenez seems to want to leave, and I have been Eyre-advised to give him a new contract, but my board is restricting me to 57k per week and he wants 68k.

 

Also, Newcastle are 16th and looking like a good bet for relegation (again, not irl). If they go down I shall surely nab Oba/Owen/Defoe.

Well that is a bit of a bitch. I still can't tie Owen down :( it's ok though, he's not even getting a start atm as Zarate is in amazing form. The team's form however is very unstable, winning some, losing others, it's not good enough to guarantee Europe again and we have to step up our game.

Yes, it sucks. I've already sold Zarate. But we shall see. I do think I need to slash some wages but I don't have a lot of highly paid players. I think I'm going to coast out the season, I'm expecting to finish 7th or 8th and then see if they give me a better budget.

 

In any case, I'm going out to stand in a queue for ages to get into a bar before giving up and coming home to play more Football Manager.
