Do you like it?

Been thinking of painting my guitar as the guys, but this came out as a more "original" idea :P

I love it! You've done a really good job.

Cool! Coldplayers really are so creative!

22 days 'til I get to see them... hope I can catch some butterflies!!!

(Wish there was a smiley for fingers crossed!)

Wow, thats really cool!! Nice job;)

That's awesome :D

I've been thinking of painting my guitar too!

haah cool but I think you used too many buterflies don't you think, I think a little less of them and more scattered would look better but just my opinion

i think the butterflies make it look gay, but whatever makes you happy i guess

My advice is to trim the edges of the butterflies so they don't overlap on the black, I think it'd look neater if they were only on the white part but that's just my opinion.

Great job!

it looks great!

Can you actually play it without damaging/destroying the butterflys though?

Looks nice though...:D

Thanks for all the comments.

I agree I should have used less butterflies, but it was to late when I realized :P

The pink butterfly is a little bit damaged now I've been playing, I'll maybe have to trim the edges as 2732 suggested.

It does look great, I just imagine the chance of damage to the butterflies will be lessened with no loose edges hanging out.

Play your guitar proudly, no matter what.

:nice:

Exactly, it looks awesome. I wanted to do something like this with my guitar, but I'm not creative enough to come up with something like this.;)

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jonny actually decorate his guitar with actual butterflies.:D

I would LOVE to see Jonny with a butterfly-decorated guitar :nice: He'd HAVE to use it for Lovers in Japan :P

I've been trying to get a replacement pickguard for my guitar so I can decorate that instead of painting on my original pickguard. But I don't know where I can get one that fits :(

Well, you don't have to paint it if you get some butterflies (from the concert or you make them). Actually I bought a transparent adhesive film, cut the pickguard form, pasted the butterflies and then applied on the pickguard. So the butterflies are protected (except of the loose edges) and you won't harm the pickguard and can extract it in the future. You could probably paint on the film too, and then cover it with another layer at the end.
