UPDATE: 17th January 2008

 

Coldplay failed to pick up any awards they were nominated for at tonight's NRJ Awards in Cannes, France, but Chris Martin did pick up the NRJ Music Honors Award on behalf of the whole band. He also played a solo piano version of the new single 'Life In Technicolor ii' towards the end of the ceremony. Below is the first available image of Chris's performance. Speaking in French afterwards, he said, "Mon français est comme une voiture cassé...c'est long (my french is like a rusty car, it's take time to go on...). He also added that he was sorry for being alone and that the other ones were on the beach eating ice creams.

-international album of the year (=album international de l'année)

-international song of the year (=chanson internationale de l'année)

-international band of the year (=groupe/duo/troupe international de l'année)
