Featured Replies

A Thread for all the wild creative ideas that are jumbling around in your brain.!:laugh3:

A machine that records your thoughts for you, so no matter how fast you think, you'll never lose a single one.

Also, it will be run on mind power so that it's super-good for the environment.

:laugh3:Yes, a machine like that could be most useful! I want one too!!;)

How about this: approaching the view of solar cells from a quantum-mechanical build-with-atoms perspective, and try some fairly off-the-wall ideas.. Like Bucky-balls with silicon discs embedded within them, on carbon nanotube "wires" to support the structures.. Or stacked micro cells, surrounded by electrically connected large nanotubes. Each cell tuned to a frequency, to catch the whole spectrum properly.

Or how about an atomic layer that absorbs light, and emits radio-frequency energy, which is then absorbed by a micro-antenna beneath it?:inquisitive:

I had an idea the other night for a cell phone application that could pick up your web-browsing history (including all your favorite sites) and store the addresses. Then when you're at a friends' house or at work, and you want to bring up a site you visited recently, you can pull it up on your phone and the computer would pick it up by some wireless interface (maybe infrared or wifi).

No more need for typing in website addys or lugging your laptop around.

What if they are used to Let yOu know what I happen to be thinking, to saVe livEs, to Yell OUt a message?

I feel like Oskar Schell.

I, for one, love Chuck's quirkiness. :P

His quirks are the only reason I get up in the morning. =D

I think I need a mind reading device, just for myself.

That's not creative, but I could put stickers on it, I suppose.

OOH OOH OOH!!!! I GOT ONE! A pencil that changes colors like a mood ring so you know what you're feeling when you're trying to write. Rings are stupid and make your finger feel heavy. I've never seen a pencil like that. And if you have, it was my idea first.

I love that kid.

What about some minuscule device that recorded every dream you had?

^ So do I.

What about a machine of sorts that in microscopic but can be inserted into your brain to record your dreams. I would like that.

A locking zip.

Take a normal zip, but modified it so that you have to push 2 buttons in on the sides before you can unzip it

I'm sure a lot of us have wanted to find this kind of thing before.

What about a machine that scanned your brain so that it would play exactly the songs you wanted to hear?
