Last night in LA John Mayer did a live show in which he performed "Lost+" as part of his encore set.

It's really good -- unless of course you hate John.

 

But I was quite impressed... mind you im a big Johnny M fan.

its a combination of "Lost" (coldplay) and john mayer's song Clarity (along with Jay-Z's "No Hook" thrown in there).

 

So yes, its a slightly different mix, but all in all I think he did a pretty good job.

I went to the first link earlier, and after half hr, I gave up. It did make me remember when I used to listen to John Mayer(I've got 1st two CDs), but then I also remembered how after a while he'd get tiring. Sorry to fans of his...but there's something about him I find annoying, and I can't figure out what it is, 'cause if I hear one of his songs randomly, I like it...but like I said, after a while, I just cant anymore.:\

 

Anyway, that was my long ass way of saying thanks for links!

I liked it! Not better than the original, but it's not bad at all, imo :)

wow a lot of mayer haters...

 

its funny that the one person mentioned stopping after his second album, since Continuum (his third) is arguably his best. SURE the singles are overplayed (waiting on the world to change is VERY annoying now...) but otherwise the album is a great mix of blues, soul, rock, and pop.

 

but that's just my opinion. im a big fan...

 

...then again he's VERY different from Coldplay so I can understand there not being a large crossover of fandom. but he's an incredibly talented musician none the less.

oh and in Johnny's defense, it was the 3rd or 4th encore after 2 hours straight of performing by himself...

Hes voice live is really bad...Im sorry but it is its probably cause Lost just wasnt the song for him....But i really like hes song called DAUGHTERS!.....but lost just wasnt for him.
