the 90s or the noughties?

Well, apart from Coldplay I could survive without the music of the 21st century so far.

I love pop, the cheesier the better, so the 80's rock for me!

Oh, and it's good to know what makes some people cry ^^

With a few exceptions I don't really like much music from 2000 onwards, so in terms of music alone I would much prefer the '90s

surely there's a better term! I'd prefer "the zero's" to "the noughties". Just sounds wrong saying "Coldplay may easily be the biggest band of the noughties." :dozey:

Oh, but in response to the question...I wasn't around to experience the 90s in full, but I believe there were a lot more powerhouse bands in that period, whereas the there are few noughties (ugh) bands that are consistent in the charts (coldplay, the killers...). The numbers don't really match up to the sensations of nirvana, oasis, radiohead, u2 etc. and the fact that radiohead and u2 are still cleaning up this decade, without more modern competition kinda shows the last ten years have been a bit weak.

Noughties. How I hate that word.

Are you gonna cry??

why must you act so childish sometimes mark? :( :\

There has been so much good music out since 2000, you just have to look in the right places. You can't flick on the radio to find anything, first off...
