ROLLLING STONES SONGS OF THE YEAR: VLV #9

9th???

Ok, I realised a long time ago that not everyone is going to share my opinion where music is concerned, and I'm not so blinkered as to think Coldplay will top every list... but 9th???

What the hell do people find so good about that bloody Lollipop song???

Well, in that list I only know 'American Boy', 'Disturbia', 'I Kissed a Girl', 'Bleeding Love', 'So What', 'Warwick Avenue', 'Viva La Vida' of course -deserves a better place!- and the rest of songs... :\

OMG...Lil Wayne?!?! :dozey:

come on Rolling Stones you can do better then that

hmmm half of those songs are straight out bad and viva is better than all the rest.

Lists like this mean next to nothing to me. It's always fun when a band I like gets recognized, however, more times than not, the music I like does not win anything. It still doesn't change my opinion. I thought Viva la Vida was the best song last year. I don't care whether it was number one or not on the list at all. I still religiously read Rolling Stone, but I don't count on them for anything of substance. They practically rubber stamp every album review with 3.5 Stars unless your name happens to be Dylan or Springsteen (no offense, god knows I love "The Boss")

Well, Viva la Vida is my number 1 song of the year, without a doubt! It should have been higher on that list, but at least it's in the top 10.

Ooh, Santogold is a #2!! I adore that song. :nice: And Beck's Gamma Ray is at #6. So at least they got a few right.

I'm not surprised about the song's place on the list because it's a Rolling Crappy Stone list. This magazine is worthless when it comes to evaluating music. Heck, they're the ones who are ****ing up the Rock 'N' Roll HOF but that's besides the point.

I would like to know how in the world did Beyonce's get the number one slot? Her song hasn't been out that long and it's the best of the year according to Crappy Stone magazine? Puh-lease!!! If I Were A Boy is the better of her two songs though not better than VLV.

Beyonce at #1, is Chris Martin writing for Rolling Stone in his spare time? :laugh3:
