December 28, 200817 yr I have never met anyone called Nina I'm surprised at how many people have never had the conversation with their parents about how they were named... I guess me and my folks just have really lame conversations :dozey: Well, it might not be popular in other countries, but 2 of my ex-schoolmates have the same name. Plus 10000000000000 others. Well, I did ask my mom once about it, but she was joking about the name I'd be given. :dozey:
December 28, 200817 yr So are you Rudy's neighbour??:stunned: Yeah, I am often at his place. You might be deceived by the hour I usually post at, but that's only because I'm a night owl.
December 28, 200817 yr You're a traitor, Rudy. I thought we've agreed on this already. :dozey: :P
December 28, 200817 yr Antonia... What a nice name! :nice: :uhoh: Ok Nina, I'm really leaving now. :P
December 28, 200817 yr That is a good advert, even though I completely disagree with everything it stands for  I am Nathan, I was gunna be Helen if I was a girl
December 28, 200817 yr my parents knew i was going to be a girl, but i was almost named anastasia, which i actually like a lot more than chelsea. i've always wished i was actually named that. my brother was going to be pavel, but he ended up being evan. my dad wasn't on the "russian names" boat.

And Chelsea are now owned by "the Russians". What a bizarre coincidence!!:P
December 28, 200817 yr I probably would've gotten my grandad's 2nd name if i was a boy.. Hermanni that is. I'm happy that i am a girl krhm. I actually changed my name when i was 6. Nothing radical though, i did it just to clear things up because people didn't get my name..they still don't get it though so i don't know if i should change it again. Anyway, i quite like my real name and my nickname too. Too bad my nickname is actually more a boy's or a dog's name than a girl's name so that confused finns too.
December 28, 200817 yr I think my mom was gonna call me andrew, or fred.. Anyways, my first name is Elizabeth- which is a large family name. Middle name Mary- my mothers name. Libbie- a family name plus a nick name for elizabeth. whooo.
December 28, 200817 yr The doctors told my parents that I was gonna be a boy. Well, at the end I became a girl. The same thing was with my brother. He was going to be a girl and at the and he was a boy. Weird! I only know that if I'd be a boy I'd have the boy version of my first name. I'm glad that I'm not Julian. Well, my dad wanted to call me Julia, when they got to know that I'll be a girl. This name is ok, but I'm glad that my mum insist on a middle name. So, I'm called after my grandmum Sofie. Julia-Sofie :D :D I don't know the thing about my brother. I mean, how my parents would have called him if he was a girl. :D I'm glad he isn't! I can't imagine to have a older sister. I like the way it is. Change my name? NO! I like my name, but I like it a lot that I'm called with both names. So some call me Julia and some Sofie. That's the way I like it.
