September 25, 200916 yr I hate the Packers so much, for so many reasons. The most recent being that they injured Urlacher for the season </3
September 25, 200916 yr The only team I hate more than the Packers is the Broncos. I hated Green Bay for Brett Favre and it just stuck. Now I'm torn because I like the Vikings (A.P. plus they're my dad's favorite team), but fucking Brett is their QB and I keep hoping he gets a torn ACL but it just won't happen.
September 25, 200916 yr Ah man Favre is just the worst, it's nice to hate on him with other people. Did you see that illegal "crackback" block he did in preseason? It was disgraceful and he got fined loads for it. He's an INT machine anyway, I hope he fails, badly. Should have retired a few years ago, it was a joke him going to the Jets, now it's just sad. The only team other than the Bears I really like in the NFL is the Saints, Drew Brees is just so good
September 25, 200916 yr He's always pulling shit like that block, he just thinks he can get away with anything. I used to just get pissed at all his waffling about retirement, past 2 years I actually am hoping for an injury. Nothing permanent but something bad enough that he'll get the fuck out of the NFL so I can stop hearing about him. The Saints are just a joy to watch on offense. Brees is the best QB who isn't an asshole/arrogant 'superstar'.
September 25, 200916 yr Yeah exactly right about Brees, he just gets on with it, then you look at Tony Romo going out with Jessica Simpson and you have to just cringe. I love Reggie Bush as well, he's pretty much half and half a receiver and a running back this year, makes him really interesting to watch on offense.
September 25, 200916 yr Even Brady's spoiled and arrogant, and Peyton Manning just isn't quite as fun to watch as he used to be. I'm a huge USC fan so I've followed Reggie Bush since he was a sophomore in college. It's great to see he's done well for himself, wish I could say the same about Matt Leinart.
September 25, 200916 yr I like Peyton loads more after he appeared on SNL, think he just had a great sense of humour mocking himself etc. Yeah I'm not really into college football (partially because it's impossible to watch in this country), my friend goes to VT though so the only player I've known from college football to the NFL is "Macho" Harris, who plays for the Steelers now.
September 25, 200916 yr Peyton does have a great sense of humor, and he works hard for his success. He's just one of those guys who's impossible to hate. Sometimes I like college football better, it can be more exciting and there are less ego-driven players and less convicts, it's more about football and less about who's in jail this week.
September 25, 200916 yr I'm sure I'd be into it if I lived in America, it would just be impossible for me to follow a team. Yeah one of the things that put me off about American sports to start off with was the egos and the ridiculous amounts of money they get, it's just stupid.
September 25, 200916 yr It's why I have a hard time seriously loving the NFL. There's so much crap from all the players. At least in baseball there's a few hard-working players who don't make $20 million a year. Hockey's the best, teamwork and very few egotistical players.
September 25, 200916 yr Yeah I love Hockey. Those guys put NFL players to shame with the amount of games and effort they put in
September 26, 200916 yr Author Peyton is probably the smartest QB in the NFL, and I'm not just saying that because he came out of UT.
September 26, 200916 yr Um you do know that the whiner Jay Cutler himself threw for almost just as many int as the int king Favre right? 4 less to be exact.
September 26, 200916 yr Peyton is probably the smartest QB in the NFL, and I'm not just saying that because he came out of UT. Agreed. Um you do know that the whiner Jay Cutler himself threw for almost just as many int as the int king Favre right? 4 less to be exact. Yes, but Cutler is still rather inexperienced and has a long way to go before he fully hits his stride and potential. Favre is about 5 years past retirement.
September 26, 200916 yr Um you do know that the whiner Jay Cutler himself threw for almost just as many int as the int king Favre right? 4 less to be exact. If you'd actually watched the game. 3 of them were completely the receivers fault.
September 26, 200916 yr Peyton is probably the smartest QB in the NFL, and I'm not just saying that because he came out of UT. True. I would say that part of that is from what he learned from his dad, Archie Manning. Though his dad was a decent quarterback, you know his father guide him and developed him to prepare him for football. Actually, Archie did a pretty damn good job with all three of his boys, though one can not play football anymore. They all seemed to be decent and respectable men who do a pretty good job at leading their team.
September 28, 200916 yr It was good to see Forte get some good runs in yesterday. I thought he was going to have a better game than he did, but it was decent nonetheless. Johnny Knox is developing into a solid WR very quickly. He's been the biggest surprise of the Bears' season for me so far (well, except Cutler's horrible first game - that was a shocker). Bennett is coming around nicely too. They've got a better team than I thought going into the season. Peyton used to annoy the crap out of me, but he's grown on me over the last year or so. I think the turnaround started with that Oreo DSRL commercial with Eli and the Williams sisters. "It's on like Donkey Kong!" :laugh3:
October 6, 200916 yr i was actually talking about last year with Cutler and that was when he had legit receivers, but whatever my vikes are 4-0, with a QB with 1 int. all year and the best RB in football so life is good lol.
October 12, 200916 yr Bad day in sports for Boston today, first the Red Sox lose and now the Patriots too...:(
