The wonderful Spotify

Featured Replies

It's so wonderful to have the choice.

Random stuff from the site itself:

Spotify is a new way to enjoy music. Simply download and install, before you know it you’ll be singing along to the genre, artist or song of your choice. With Spotify you are never far away from the song you want.

There are no restrictions in terms of what you can listen to or when. Forget about the hassle of waiting for files to download and fill up your hard drive before you get round to organising them. Spotify is instant, fun and simple.

Because music is social, Spotify allows you to share songs and playlists with friends, and even work together on collaborative playlists, Friday afternoon in the office might never be the same again! We’re music lovers like everyone else.

We want to connect millions of people with their favorite songs by creating a product that people love to use. We respect creativity and believe in fairly compensating artists for their work. We’ve cleared the rights to use the music you’ll listen to in Spotify.

Yes I have been playing around for a while with it and I'm in love with it.

And it's flat-packed!

The free version is available in Scandinavia too and the Premium version in some other countries.

Hopefully you will get given the go-ahead tomorrow Ari.

It doesn't work for Germany! Booh! Shit program! :P

In some countries you need an invitation to use the free version, could that be the problem ariadnasquire and Larry?

If so, I can send you one.

We've got two new flat-packed (=Swedish, remember? ;)) streaming services after Spotify: Tunerec and Chilirec. And I heard there's a Mutify torrent on Pirate Bay to block the commercials on Spotify. People are creative :)

i've asked for an invitation to register there, i'm yet waiting for the email that will let me register on that site-software. :\

no wonder really, is beta so is normal it has failures yet.

Didn't Pandora shut down because the record labels wanted more money?

We7 is a good idea, but it has more adverts

  • 1 year later...

I hate it how Australia doesn't have any of these services. It would be so helpful. Oh well, illegal downloading it is.

for everyone in germany, we have sth very similar now and i like it a lot. go to www.simfy.de :)
