I don't get Anglophiles, what's so fascinating about Engerland, really?

music, art, history, comedy, places, culture, awesome TV shows... basically everything? except dental hygiene and some of the current politics :P

edit: Washington State or Washington DC? cause DC is awesome :D

My favourite TV shows ever are Arrested Development (USA), Lost (USA) + Neon Genesis Evangelion (Japan)

Music, our music scene is so shit lately, nothing that exciting coming through, the American music scene however is producing some amazing stuff.

I can understand why you'd like our history though, even if we were absolute ****s to the world.

and I do love our appetite for misery

To be honest I really like England but I actually wouldn't be against living in somewhere like Boston, New York, Chicago, Washington, those kinda places in America.

I see. Yes, I agree, those are all good places.

You like to live where a lot of things are going on? Big cities?

Well I was doing cities, so DC

D.C. is awesome, even if it has one of the highest crime rates.

well I like old school British shows like Flying Circus, Fawlty Towers, Fry and Laurie, Jeeves and Wooster, etc but I like Doctor Who and stuff too

My two favorite bands are Beatles and Coldplay, so... I'm not really into most American music these days  the only American band I used to listen to was Death Cab but they're shit now.

British history is super interesting! your dick moves just make it more interesting :P

Well not necessarily since I kinda hate the majority of people, I like where I live in Newcastle it's pretty perfect, I live in the suburbs, so on one side there is countryside and on the other is the city, I'd like to have that kind of situation if I lived elsewhere too, but tbh where I live I can pretty much access anything I want, I'd hate to have the opposite where you have to travel a long way to get somewhere.

Camden, NJ used to be the most crime rated city in the country, and its 5 minutes from me :stunned:

Philly is also very high, one year there was over 300 murders :shocked2:

I love Philly though :wacky::D

I was just going to tell you that I lovveeee your new avi :wacky::heart:

you used to have that pic as your avi, didn't you? or maybe it was your sig...

Yah that's a good balance. Kind of like my situation.

Oh right, yeah Fawlty Towers is pretty classic, I watched it recently and it's actually a lot funnier than I expected it to be (having seen it as a child and liked it) I just expected it to be really dated and unfunny, but Basil has some amazing lines.

Yeah I mean like modern music though, there's really not much going on over here. But you have such diverse and interesting bands emerging from America right now, examples being Yeasayer who just leaked their 2nd album and it's so fresh and exciting, nothing like it is being made in England.

I think a few years ago Austin was rated like the 2nd safest city in the country, or something like that. So that's great. :D

I love Austin, which is one of the main reasons I want to go to U.T.

I LOVE Fawlty Towers. that show could never be unfunny. the best episode is The Germans, when the moose head falls on Basil and he gets a concussion

yeah I'm sure that we have some good music coming out, I'm just not that interested in it

The German episode is a bit cliché for me thanks to over-quoting </3

British comedy is amazing though, I've just had a think. Pretty much anything Chris Morris is genius.

Check out (if you haven't already) Brass Eye, it's just brilliant satire.
