Ugh I just hate pictures and it's gonna take such a long freaking time. I get pictures in what I'm wearing, then with those drapes thing, and then maybe with a drapes and holding a rose or something? not sure but I've seen that before, and then in fucking cap and gown. The cap makes my bangs look weird :(

Basically he was like, here's the deal, you have to learn how to drive. We're doing it for the rest of the summer.

Yeah. But my parents are extremely pushy. By next year I have to get a real job, and they tell me I have to be able to drive myself to it. I don't think I'll ever feel ready though, so at some point I realize I'm just going to have to force myself into it.

 

I try to tell myself that maybe it won't be so bad. There's been other things in the past I thought I'd never, ever feel comfortable doing, and certainly not enjoy. Like riding rollercoasters. I used to hate them, but eventually learned to love them.

 

I wouldn't know of course, but I think that once you finally start, you will find it isn't so horrible. Myabe you'll never be one of those people who just loves to drive. But I think you will get used to it. maybe you could aks your dad if you could take it very slowly?

I was absolutely fucking terrified to take my 6 hours. And I did really bad just going around the block the first 5 times. But then I got used to it and it was so much fun! When you're learning, no one's going to let you do anything wrong. If they think something bad will happen, they'll stop you, tell you what to do, and even help you guide the wheel. You guys will be totally fine! :thumbsup:

Seriously though, if I can get my license, especially with a jackass who like tried to fail me, you guys will be great!!! :D

I am getting my learner's permit this summer. Then I have to wait 6 months before I can get my licencse. That's actually a benefit in my opinion, it'll give me a lot of time to get used to driving:)

 

 

Someday when I finally learn I am going to go on a road trip to visit my internet friends :P

Yah, that too! I feel like it's so hard to actually see stuff properly, and it's hard for me to know where the boundaries of the car are. Parking is going to suck. :shame: Especially backing into a parking spot, and parallel! :wreck: I know how to parallel, but I've never tried it, and just because it's easy to know how to do doesn't mean it's actually easy to do.

I got mine in the summer too! For some reason I feel like it's better to get it in the summer. Just start off slowly, like driving to your friend's houses and stuff. I actually stopped driving for a couple months and then my mom made me drive a lot again, and I was bad at first because it'd been so long since I drove, but then I got better. Soon you'll be begging to drive everywhere :)

My dad taught me the wrong way :rolleyes: And he was a horrible teacher. So I had 2 of my brothers teach me and then my cousin took me and I had it nailed by that point but he showed me a good tip :D My mom helped a little. But yeah parents aren't always so helpful with that because they think you should know how to do it already. At least that's what my dad is like. And his whole "I'm from Philly I can park in spaces smaller than the car" attitude didn't help :P

Also I've yet to drive on the highway by myself. Kind of scares the shit out of me. Mostly because there's construction and it fucks everything up and makes the lanes smaller and puts barriers up. You pretty much can't go anywhere in Jersey though without taking the highway :(

I have had my license for 3 years and I'm still terrified to drive on the highway.

Mostly because of what happened to my aunt.

But I just hate it.

There are so many bad drivers, it is terrifying.

At least I don't live in Los Angeles or anything, but still.
