I wasn't saying "crazy" as in "insane", I meant it more colloquially. Nor do I think he's wrong or am I trying to judge Ancient Greek philosophy in 21st century situations. You just completely misunderstood me ;) I want to be a Classicist and have been studying all of this pretty extensively for a while now, I think I know how to approach this stuff. But the more you study Aristotle, the more apparent the loopholes in his philosophies become.

I think his dissertation will be on Plato. :edit: and yeah, people need to stop going postal whenever horrific posts on a thread like he's some venom spitting python or something. My sister's an Ancient Greek studies & political science major, and she's obsessed with Plato. I'm a Latinist, but I adore philosophy and the Greeks as well, so I love my Aristotle class :D You can't go wrong with the Classics :P
