+100000000000 I woke up and saw the tweet  Best way to start a day!!!!

And the music video really helps to decipher who's singing :D

The song? Yes it is Guy Berryman involved in the project but the song lacks a seriously good melody. I like a good melody and they need a Chris Martin spark of genius.

Umm... Chris was barred from the studio last spring for a reason. I love him dearly but he does have a bit of trouble getting beyond his usual range. This is supposed to be something different.

I love the video... and especially the part where Guy looks straight into your eyes...*goes into her corner and drools* :wideeyed::sweatdrop:

This is an experimental group, as said before. It's not for everyone

Comments like that make me want to vomit....

couldn't agree more, it's really frustrating

I didn't mean they SHOULD have Chris Martin writing their songs, I was meaning that a good touching melody would go nice with their song, the sort of which Chris Martin is genius at. I think it's extremely good and amazingly experimental and can only be good for Coldplay's future that one of their members are flexing their musical muscles beautifully, but as I said I like songs with beautful melodies - that's all I meant. I never actually meant to offend anyone, but it appears I did, which has left me bewildered and taken aback a little bit.

Guy can wrote beautiful melodies...Check what he wrote entirely for the OST of a japanese movie...It's just

But his work on Apparatjik is different, they're all experimenting new things and sounds, so playing the 'Coldplay or Mew card' isn't on their plan... ;)

Because you say smart things :p

I know that! Regurgitating same sounds/songs as Mew, Coldplay and a-ha is missing the point completely. I think Apparatjik and Ferreting was awesome, I just don't like this new song as much.

By the way is that really genuine! That piece written by Guy Berryman for Longest Night In Shanghai? You're kidding me??! Amazing.

I'm talking for me but I think other has the same feeling, the fact is that Chris always overshadows the other 3 Coldplay as if he was the band alone (and I'm sure many think this way), and once one of them has done something alone it's frustrating to see him being mentioned when there is really no need to do it. That is

peace done :P

edit: yes Guy wrote it :)

Yes! (proof on the booklet of the CD). He wrote that one too, this time along with Magne (keyboard part)

+1000

We know that it's not a voluntary thing on Chris' part but it's good to see Guy's talent blooming with this project (and others).

But then it'd be a Coldplay song surely...? Not an Apparatjik song.

Appartjik are not about catchy pop melodies or making straightforward radio hits...that's not what the guys are in it for.

It's fine if you don't like this one song, not everyone will like it, but please don't expect an album's worth of Ferreting.. :P

btw, we weren't offended... it's just that Chris gets enough attention as it is, Guy's off doing something wildly different outside of the Coldplay box and he doesn't deserve songwriting comparisions with Chris Martin, is all.

Anyway, mini-sounds-like-a-rant-but-isn't-a-rant over

Where is the first three minutes? :snobby:
