Just to clarify:

Chris' gift was a viedo set up used in cars to show the driver what's behind them. He is suppoed to put it on his piano to show him what Will is doing.

Will: A cap with spaces to put extra drumsticks. With a very special slogan :P

Jonny: a motorbike mirror that sits on the end of his guitar.

Guy: Belt buckle with a guitar tuner.

Neighbour’s cast re-new aquaintance with Coldplay

 

 

In 2001 Coldplay were a fledgling band with a new hit song - “Yellow”. When the band visited Melbourne in that year they expressed a desire to visit the Neighbours set. I remember meeting Chris, Will, Jonny and Guy back then and wishing them well for their career!!!!!

 

The band were back in Melbourne for three concerts this week. Nova FM, a local radio station, decided to throw Chris Martin a birthday party and asked who he would like to invite. “TOADIE”, he replied. And so it was that Ryan Moloney and some of the long standing cast members of Neighbours, including yours truly, were invited to the last show in Melbourne and then to the party.

 

It will be a night that lasts in my memory forever. The concert was incredible. One of the best sound mixes I have ever heard. Brilliant staging and the band were stellar.

 

The after show party was intimate and we all had a great chat with the band and exchange memories of 2001 and all that has followed.

 

Fremantle Media and the cast members gave Chris some birthday presents including Neighbour’s memorabilia and he and the band gave us a night to remember.
