Last night I noticed someone in the bar wearing a 19th century style military jacket: green, with gold buttons and yellow igsignia. (and no it wasn't Will Champion! :) ) - sadly

 

I'm noticing more and more military style jackets of late in the UK, have Coldplay started a fashion here?

it seems so, this summer, here, it was common to see young people wearing similar hats as the ones coldplay wear on tour.

I'm noticing it everywhere not only in the uk. Ah...nobody can deny their beautiful style!!:)

I wish I'd find a decent one...

They were selling Jackets in numerous places this summer :)

the military style though has been around for years , I know there was a huge increase in that design around the time the Libs wore theirs. I bought one about 3 winters ago and its never really gone out of fashion.

Before coldplay started to wear the military style jackets they were in the shops, I remember quite clearly.

and I was all like "Holy crap, Coldplay fan squee" which sort of freaked them out. They said they liked how it looked.

 

My school has weird people though. :/

I can't see Dorothy Perkins stocking military style jackets just because Coldplay were wearing them. I would guess that it was a fashion trend which had been decided on before last June.

I saw Two Yesterday, Both times, it was like :o Then just mutter Viva la Vida under your breath, and see if they respond in any way. Like a Coldplaying Handshake :laugh3:

I don't think it's a growing trend. We just notice the jackets more because of Coldplay. Like when you buy a car, and suddenly notice people driving the same make/model everywhere, and wonder why suddenly so many people are driving Ford Escapes (or whatever).

 

Where can I find one of these jackets, anyway? We don't have an army surplus store here. :(

I was at my friend's house and she was watching a Jonas Brothers interview :lol: ... and one of them had a kind of military style jacket :lol:

That's true.

I've got a long military jacket since 2 years ago, even though not so colourful like the Viva's jackets (I prefer some discretion..), and I've seen some different styles of these jackets in some shops for a long time, not just now.

 

And I must say they're very comfortable, and it's also cool to wear them, of course :cool:
