Chris Martin's attempts to discuss environmental issues with Noel Gallagher fell on deaf ears when the Oasis frontman said that he "genuinely couldn't give a fuck". Gallagher told the Coldplay singer that his immediate environment was all that occupied his mind and everything else was "not [his] problem".

 

The singer, who recently fuelled speculation that he is to release a solo LP, said in a Talksport interview: "I actually couldn't give a fuck about what's going on outside my family: me, my missus, my two kids and my mam, and her parents...that's it, for me. Other than that, it's not my problem, but that's not to say you shouldn't care about it! You should all care about it, but I just like to look after my own."

 

Gallagher added that the thought of James Blunt gives him a migraine when questioned on his views that flying is bad for the planet. "James Blunt is bad for the environment that surrounds my fucking head here," he added.

Noel is hilarious..always has been! I enjoy his commentaries, even though at the end of the day I am not sure he means them...

 

Anyone thinking a little about this does soon realize that whatever affects the planet and the other inhabitants soon will affect us too as well, not to mention our children´s future. He has a very short attention span and does not think much about anything...that´s his problem I reckon ;)

He is a singer, who says he is intelligent? Honestly guys, most singers/band members aren't as smart as most of the population. Look to the rest of the world, to the academic communities to find smart people to look up to.

I can only talk for myself, but I would not really heed any comments Noel makes, on Coldplay, the environment or anything else. Everyone knows he talks bullshit and I doubt anyone at all takes his comments seriously...public figure or not, he has the right to say what he wants, even if it´s bullshit. People must discern for themselves what they think they agree with or not.

well its all good to say that people have their own opinions but then this system is screwed because when the guy from Greys Anatomy called the other guy gay he was fired and I mean thats his opinion and people should let him be free to voice it... Oh, how I love the Gallagher brothers' profanity-filled rants, although while Liam's rants make me wince, Noel's generally make me smile. This is actually no exception, especially since you can somewhat sense the raw sarcasm seeping through.

LOL so true! If James Blunt is so concerned about aviation damage to the environment, then why the hell does he tour? Unless he goes from gig to gig on his pushbike, he really doesn't have a right to criticise people for damage to the environment if he himself does it in the same way.
