Never read the books, and after watching the movie, never will.

 

Twilight was just boring and a mediocre movie. Felt like some bunch of amateurs wrote and directed it. The screenplay was just terrible, with laughably ridiculous and cliched lines scattered throughout.

 

The thing is that since this was a fantasy series of books by a female author, the media - as is usual for them - began saying that Meyer is the "next JK Rowling." All I can do is roll my eyes at that statement. And what's funny is that, the only reason why Twilight and the other novels in the series became popular is because of these JK Rowling comparisons.

well i have read the book and think you made right decision about not reading it. i felt like i was reading some penguin reader's adepted novel for elementary students :D (English is not my native language naturally, so basicaly the only benefit from the book was couple of new words probably :D )

I tried slogging through the first book but when I got to the point where Edward started sparkling I just said, "nope sorry these books suck." They're just.... laughable.
