March 28, 200917 yr My first forum was a Nintendo forum, and we would speculate about what the Gamecube was going to look like. It was fun. My first forum was a Nintendo forum, too!
March 28, 200917 yr Author My first forum was a Nintendo forum, and we would speculate about what the Gamecube was going to look like. It was fun. How hard can that be? Wouldn't it look like a cube?? edit: My first forum was a forum about a Lego toy line :P I was like ten at the time.
March 28, 200917 yr I also used to uses smilies excessively on my first forum. After every sentence. :P Like this. :o Between sentences too. I thought that it made me seem more emotional (:P) and less like a robot. :)
March 28, 200917 yr Author OW FUCK that was totally unrelated but I want some virtual hugs to make me feel better
March 28, 200917 yr Well at the time it was called "Project Dolphin" and we knew it would use an IBM CPU and an ATI graphics card. That was about it. So we didn't know it would be a cube.
March 28, 200917 yr What happened? Well at the time it was called "Project Dolphin" and we knew it would use an IBM CPU and an ATI graphics card. That was about it. So we didn't know it would be a cube. Yeah, this is true. The game system names are usually changed later on...
March 28, 200917 yr Author Project DOLPHIN??? What happened? cramps :\ ow you needed to know that I'm sure
March 28, 200917 yr Yep, and the Wii was called "Revolution" before it came out. They always give code names to their systems before they are made official.
March 28, 200917 yr Author :inquisitive: I need to pay more attention to the nerd world. Although Revolution IS a good name for the Wii... it was SUPPOSED to be a revolution however half the games out there don't even really utilize the accelerometers in it :\
March 28, 200917 yr Yep, and the Wii was called "Revolution" before it came out. They always give code names to their systems before they are made official. Yeah, and the Nintendo 64 was the "Ultra 64." I remember when they first announced that Wii would NOT be called "Revolution." That was quite a sad day for me... I guess it worked out, since it wasn't a revolution, anyways.. Wii kinda sucks right now.
March 28, 200917 yr http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/charts/chartdl.aspx?Symbol=NTDOY&CP=0&PT=10 The Gamecube was a disappointment in terms of sales, and the Wii exceeded all expectations. If you had bought the stock back in 2005 and held onto it a couple years before selling, you would have made a 700% profit.
March 28, 200917 yr Oops, I typed that I was disappointed when they called it "revolution." My mind must have been backwards. Meant to say that it was a sad day for me when they revealed that the Revolution would be named "Wii."
March 28, 200917 yr Yeah, Nintendo is rolling is dough because of Wii (and DS). Doesn't mean that Wii has any good games coming out right now. :P Uggghhh @ "casual" gamers that Nintendo is catering to... Then again, without "casuals," Nintendo might have gone out of business by now. :uhoh:
March 28, 200917 yr Author OKAY WHYYYY DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO START HATING ON CASUAL GAMERS. SERIOUSLY. STOP HATING ON THEM.
March 28, 200917 yr Nintendo all about appealing to "casuals" means no good games. :( Casuals can enjoy hardcore games too.... I do sound kind of whiney, though. I guess I'll end it.
March 28, 200917 yr Author You do that. Although the last casual game I tried (spore) SUCKED BALLS. So I sort of agree.
March 28, 200917 yr Spore was supposed to be casual? o_O Wii has way too many games based off of movies and TV shows and sports or whatever. Then there's Wii Fit, Wii Music, Wii Sports..that stuff. Ugh. I only ever had Nintendo game systems, so due to the way Nintendo is now, I don't really play games much currently.
March 28, 200917 yr Author Yeah, or I thought it was. Oh, I didn't know you meant the Wii Fit and stuff... :\ Wii Fit isn't even that fun.
March 28, 200917 yr JAY why do you have to keep talking about economics EVERYWHERE?? :P Because economics affects everything! Plus I like money. So shoot me. :P
March 28, 200917 yr Look at all the people going after money Far too many people looking for their money Everybody's out there, trying to get money Why can't you just tell me? Trying to get money, rush Such a rush
