I've actually never been inside a Waffle House. However, people have told me things...

xD Sorry, the Waffle House thing reminded me of Jim Gaffigan.

hahaha! See, if only you had gone to a Waffle House, you wouldn't be all depressed now!

But I don't have a Waffle House heeere. :(

What? There's not a Waffle House in a part of TEXAS?? Huuuhhh?

I thought Texas was all Southern and.... Waffle-Housey!

Well, there's not one in my TOWN. I'm sure there are some all over the state. Just not here.

And we are Southern. Although I must admit, I don't exactly embrace my Southerness a lot of the time. :annoyed:

People think Kentucky is in the South. To which I say:

"Heeey!!...oh wait you're actually right" and then I go sit in a corner and cry due to our hickness. :( The only non-hickful part is probably Louisville, where thankfully, I live. We even have, like, two whole gay bars here!

We're so progressive.....

We should protest against the discrimination against Southerners. : picket sign :

you did it agaaaiinn! :picket sign:? hahahahaha!

edit: nevermind you changed it. :shifty:

LOLOLOL!

Yeah, I do that from time to time. :smug2:

If everyone in the world was like ANY one person, though, it's sort of a dreadful thought too.

Living in the South has its ups and downs.

Ups: The weather. The friendly, considerate people. The low taxes. The undeveloped land. Beaches.

Downs: There are more churches than gas stations. Sassy, attitude-wearing black people. Hyper-religious white people. The cops. Fewer fancy restaurants.

I didn't mean the exact same though did I? I was talking about the way she just ignores what she doesn't want to hear, that is a characteristic not her entire persona and body

  • Author

oh. nvm then.

I agree with Jay also. You forgot the amazing greasy food though.

  • Author

No, not quite. But there IS amazing greasy food. Especially if you go to the aforementioned Waffle House. And a lot of people are really, really, waaay too religious here. :shifty: and Kentucky isn't even really in THE official South, either.

hahaha

Course, if you come to Kentucky, you've got the whole horse-racing thing too. I think we're the most horse-oriented state in the U.S., actually. Really all we have is horses, tobacco, and corn. :shifty: Kentucky's a pretty boring state.

TechnicolorGreenEyes, you should go to Charleston and get some shrimp & grits and she-crab soup. Oh and sweet tea. For some reason decent sweet tea is hard to come by up North.

And you're right, the South is hilariously stereotyped-to-death on TV and in movies. It's not like that. But I suppose since you guys won the War of Northern Aggression, you can set the rules.

Yeah man, we shot you harder and our leader decided to take the moral high ground on slavery and make that his cause even though he wasn't particularly against it, so we are better people than you basically
