A movie i watched recently made me ponder this, as well as friends stories...

I remember when my grandpa took me to some park to teach me how to ride a bike I was like 4.... I'll never forget how safe I felt around him.

I have a crazy memory for things that happened when I was really little- I can tell you what clothes my brother and all of my friends were wearing on the first day of school since kindergarten. Anyway, err... mine is of my dad pushing me on a swing in the backyard when I was almost 2, I think.

Going to a toy store called "Toy Liquidator's". I went to the back wall and the whole wall was filled with velociraptor stuffed animals. Every color too. My favorite color was green so my parents assumed I would take the green, but I chose the brown cuz I said it was more realistic. I had that thing for years, still have it somewhere. Went through lots with that sonuvabitch :wacky:

I was 3...that's my earliest memory

I remember my mom holding me next to a window in the hall of our old house, and it was raining outside. I was probably less than 1.

Then I remember my mom holding me while she was sitting on the couch, and I saw my dad calling her up to bed.

Wow, thats cool....so young.

my mum remembers a couple of incidents when she was around 14 months old, she thought were recurring dreams until someone validated them as memories.

And my sister recalls and describes the mobile she had in her crib, which was removed at age 11 months when she could stand and try to pull it down....but she always was weird, lol.

Most of my friends who talked about this had frightening memories, which is why i wondered if most people did as well, and maybe that is why they could recall something so early. I find it fascinating.

Gee I wasn't going to post on here about memories less than 1 because I thought it just wasn't believable. But anyway I remember being in my brother's arms and Mum was taking a photo of us at the entrance to sea world and there was like this plastic dolphin jumping out of a floatie. I remember a flash it made me open eyes. That was the first time I consider opening my eyes but theoretically, they were open well before that but that was only just before 1 and there was another one and everytime i go for a walk in my area i wonder if this is where it was, my nan pushing me in the pram and the leaves were really brown like Autumn overseas and it was very late in the afternoon because everything was gold and i was really tired and the sun was warming muscles up making me sleepy, I'm thinking I was about 1 then or 14 months

My memory is of my second or third birthday where I got a water gun as one of my gifts, but when It was filled with water it was too heavy for me to hold.

i remember when i was about 3 when i went and bathed myself in an eski of bleach because I thought it was water and my parents got all angry because they thought i was going to die.

*is that what happened to Michael Jackson?*

ok, my spirit i think was just hijacked by MC Squared.......

My first birthday. I remember my mom holding me while I was looking at the cake. Or maybe it was me just walking through the kitchen while my granma was looking at me. I'm not sure. Both were around the same age, so it doesn't really matter, I guess.

You can't form long term memory before the age of 2-3. It's simply impossible. Any memories you have are formed by someone telling you the story so many times that your mind has convinced itself that you remember it. True story.

I remember moving house when I was three years old. We were leaving a flat in London to move to house about an hour away. I was unbelievably excited about getting a garden to play in and I remember sitting between my parents in the van continually asking them 'Are we there yet?' :)

Thank you.

My first memory that I know I remember was that incident with my brother and that case of Dr. Pepper.

I was like 3 or 4, and I was thirsty. I was in the hallway of the trailer that we lived in at the time (which was a carpet of a really ugly greenish color), and I remember seeing a six-pack of Dr. Pepper on the dryer. I try to grab one, but it's one of those six-packs where it's all connected by that plastic stuff. Anyway, I guess I thought it would be OK if I just dragged it all off the dryer and grabbed one after setting on the floor, which is what I planned on doing. Little did I know that my brother (who's about 21 months younger than me) was standing behind me. I turn around, slinging the Dr. Pepper, and hit my brother right between the eyes.

It was rather horrible.

i remember one night when i was less than one year old.

my mum rocked me to sleep in my parent's bedroom. and we were the only one in the room. and the wall light was on. and she made up this melody. quite a hectic one, though. :laugh3:

speaking of childhood memories, i remember a lot, but there's this woman in the u.s. who never forgets anything that ever happened to her. you can ask he what happened on the 23rd of april in 1978 and she'd be like,"my friend was sleeping over at my house and we called this guy..." blah. what a curse.

A funeral.

I was 3 years old.

Well, that's unfortunate. :(

I have some memories of my life in Netherlands when I way 3. I remember I spoke Dutch like I was born there.... Unfortunately I forgot it... :(

I remember playing around in the sandbox when I was 4 or so. My little sister would always hit me :)

I was about 4 or 5 and when I was a kid my dad used to take us to the races alot, and I remember running onto the course and dad running after me to drag me back as the horses were coming our way, he only just caught me from what mum always tells me!!!

Well, that's unfortunate. :(

Well... it's even more unfortunate if it's the funeral of your oldest sister, who was about 20 at that time.
