These are my parrots.

Because if the Mad Hatter can make a thread about her kitten, I am damn well going to show off my/our family's parrots to the world. I'm putting this in a spoiler tag because the pictures are way, way too big.

This is a scarlet macaw named Kyan. He is adorable but he bites if he dislikes you. His favorite activity is destroying chairs by reducing them to toothpicks.

This is the other one. He is a cockatiel named Sadie. Yes, Sadie is not a male name, but we thought he was male at first. He is very nice to me, but if anybody else comes near him he will attempt to murder them in the most grisly fashion possible. He is not nearly as mentally handicapped as Kyan.

(The pictures in the background are from first grade, if you're wondering. My drawing skillz are much better now.)

FYI, the girl you can see in a few of them is me about... oh, five years ago. These pictures are quite old. Both of them look mostly the same now, though.

They can bite very hard. You just have to act like you're the boss/ignore the pain and they will typically be very nice and cuddly. Sort of. Also you need to raise them personally from a very young age so that they feel semi-dependant on you, or else they'll act kind of aloof. Plus they poop all over the place. >_<

:laugh3: "Ignore the pain"

You are not exactly selling them well here, ;):laugh3:

I hope you get some bit of enjoyment from them!

Cool, Sara! I have parrots too! :D

Here are some pics of them

Meet Ronnie.

And, this is Amy.

The red macaw bites while the white cockatoo doesn't. :nice:

Err. I don't mean to turn this thread into THE OFFICIAL PARROT THREAD...:uhoh: So, that's all. Bye! :P

ZOMG RUDY!! *parrotlove**parrotlove*

Green-winged macaws are so much nicer than scarlets. Especially our scarlet. They are super adorable!

Kyan and Sadie look so adorable! :nice: *parrotlove* *parrotlove*

I prefer scarlets! :uhoh:

They aren't adorable as yours since they're much older than me :uhoh2:, but they have some skills too.

They will scream if there are suspicious strangers around, and also when the sky turns dark.

:uhoh:

I keep a lot of birds at home, and just so you know I have five Sadies also.

"When the sky turns dark"? XD Hahaha! Mine yell whenever anybody leaves the room. It's quite irritating. Also I think the scarlet is addicted to almonds. And Sadie can fly basically as much as he wants even whenever his wings are clipped. He's got beastly strong pectorals like that.

Both Ronnie and Amy can't fly. They're too heavy I guess :P And both of them are addicted to sunflower seeds. :uhoh:

This is another one- grey african parrot.

And he can say a few simple words. :D

daaaaaaaaaawwwwww

Kyan never particularly learned to fly properly -- he doesn't have any idea how to steer. Or land. When he's afraid he'll just flap off for a few feet/until he smashes into a table or something. He's really retarded, too. -_-

Im so jealous Sarah..................I WANT PARROTS :bigcry: :bigcry:

they look so fun :cheesy:

Wah, why does everyone keep mispelling my name?

Then again I did call you Lauren like five times

They are quite entertaining to watch. Kyan does a lot of hanging upside down and nibbling on wood and stuff.

Pretty, yet also scary (as I have said before).

then i must be also a parrot :uhoh:

You like sunflower seeds, do you? I have a lot at home. Come, be Ronnie's friend. :P
