'Orange Glow'

Featured Replies

I hope this is a fit place to ask for lyrical meanings/interpretations.

In A Rush of Blood To The Head, you hear 'stand here beside me baby watch the orange glow'. U2's Bullet The Blue Sky also refers to 'orange glow': 'From the firefly, a red orange glow' (1st verse)

Anyone knows what it means?

Stand here beside me baby watch the orange glow, I believe they are standing watching the fire he started, watching it burn.

Woops, I thought i was orange grow :embarassed: Like maybe They'd had a child, and if they stayed together they would watch it grow.. Kinda like Flowers in the Window By Travis.

But Still Orange Glow.. I agree watching a Fire glow.

Didn't Chris once say it was about David Dickinson?.............................

seeing as the first line of the song is "he said i'm gonna buy this place and burn it down" i think it refers to a fire.

Maybe, but the "he" in question could still be David "cheap as chips" Dickinson...................

i don't know why that expression always made me think of parachute's album artwork, since is an orange ball. (it looks orange to me), so i kind of asociated that just as to lay in the grass and watch the sunset or something like that...

but seems i'm mistaken, as most you think that's about the fire.

@Mark: Or the "he" in question could also be ANY OTHER MALE ON THE PLANET.

I agree. I think it's about the fire- burning down the house
