Anyone else a fan?, I think they make great music, it's not overly technical but it has real power.

yeah i like their music. I got their two albums "thickfreakness" and "Attack and Release"... they're both pretty good! they have a good bluesy sound to them

so I picked up the newest album today and something about the CD is so cool! So I open the packaging and the cd is completely black. I notice when I touch it i can see my fingerprints in a light grey/white color, but didn't think anything of it except perhaps bad printing. Anyway I take the cd home and import it to my itunes and when i eject the CD it turns completely light grey/white so I can see the tracklisting! it was so weird! I then figure it's heat sensitive so I put it in front of the air conditioner and it changed back to all black. It's so cool! check it out if you have the CD!

 

Giving the cd a first listen now (up to Tighten Up), and it's great!

^Tighten Up is a great song... have a couple of their older albums that I really like, though I haven't had the chance to really listen to them as I should. Have been anxious to get the new one... that's really cool about the CD!

Good blues sound, and tighten up is a great song!

Anyway, everyone should give a listen to their last album, it's so incredible really ! I can't get enough of it.

 

EDIT : I just read what "the_gloaming09" (or can I say Mike lol) said about the CD! OMG it sounds so cool. I really need to buy it ASAP !!

Ah, The Black Keys. Had trouble getting into them at first and wasn't fully convinced until I finally caught one of their live sets. Awesome stuff.
