I don't really listen to her songs, but I think she's talented and her songs are catchy.

haha I know I've been vocal in the anti-Gaga movement but it took a band from my school covering bad romance and a choir group from our school doing a medley of Gaga songs to figure out to take her music with a grain of salt and just enjoy the crazy hilarity of it.

I lol'd so hard.

it kind of annoys me that she makes a big deal out of the fact that she isn't attractive and shoves it down everyones throats. pink did the 'oh my god i'm a little bit different looking and i don't have big boobs but i'm still an independent woman' a while back and it was annoying then, all she has done has found a different genre. plus everyone makes claims that it's amazing that pop music is accepting somebody not focused on looks. problem being that the fact that she isn't attractive and is different to the rest has become one of her main selling points which makes her as bad as the rest for concentrating on image over actual substance. her best bet would have been not to play up to her image at all and just concentrate on the music if she was that talented.

 

it also kind of annoys me that everyone is going crazy because she writes her own music, forgetting that the music she is writing isn't very good. writing catchy music is pretty easy, and if it wasn't her that was writing it she'd be the same as all the rest of them.

 

i honestly wouldn't mind if her nose fell off.

I'm not sure if she writes her own music. Under "composers" on my ipod, it has her listed as Lady Gaga and Red One. Who's Red One?

she had a release before her first album called red and blue. the red one could have been who she collaborated with on that but i have no idea.

I don't agree.

 

1. She is a pop artist. Whether it has been Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, or Elton John, an over-the-top image is part of what they are presenting. Keep in mind, they are putting forth an image as part of their total package. An odd or bizarre image doesn't have to detract from one's music. I like it; it makes her more interesting.

 

2. I don't care how difficult it is to write a particular song. All I care about is whether I like it or not. There are times I want to listen to boundary pushing, intellectual music, and there are times I want to listen to simple pop music. And there is a knack to writing good pop music. I know because I've heard plenty of bad pop songs.
