May 11, 200917 yr This week-end, I went to Amsterdam. I enjoyed this city which is colourful and awsome. The queen's palace Colourful house Bicycles everywhere

As for the sign seen in a fast food, it mainly concerns people that intend to buy or sell drug or to smoke in the fast-food.
May 11, 200917 yr NOT FOR THE DRUGS Really what's the point in going to another country just to take drugs?.I don't see the point in going to such a beautiful city just because it's legal to smoke weed, why not just smoke it at home where you are and do it illegally, it's not like anyone really cares,Amsterdam is such a beautiful and old city it seems a shame that it's best known for drugs.
May 11, 200917 yr Hey, Amsterdam is only a half our from my home :D Amsterdam is nice! Everywhere bicycles, love them :P
May 11, 200917 yr Did you listen to the song Amsterdam while you were there? HAR HAR HAR I related your thread to Coldplay I'm so proud of myself
May 11, 200917 yr Author Did you listen to the song Amsterdam while you were there? HAR HAR HAR I related your thread to Coldplay I'm so proud of myself No i didn't. I was too happy to see the cityscape to think about something else.
May 11, 200917 yr No i didn't. I was too happy to see the cityscape to think about something else. awww that would have been the ideal place to listen to that song

When one sees youngsters packed in a small car at the Dutch border , you can guess they go to Amsterdam to buy weed. It's obvious. They know they could buy it easily and legally.

That's why last time when I've spent New Years Eve in Amsterdam my friends and I have been stopped at the Dutch-German border. :laugh3: Of course we didn't buy any weed and stuff. :) Awww great pictures! :D I love Amsterdam (and the Netherlands in general). Everyone who's doing Europe should stop in this amazingly beautiful city. The smell of marijuana is everywhere though, but I didn't really care. ;)
May 11, 200917 yr Yo man, drugs are legal in Holland yes. But Holland isn't a drugspalace! If you think that.
May 12, 200917 yr Author Yo man, drugs are legal in Holland yes. But Holland isn't a drugspalace! If you think that. Very true ! In other cities in Holland you don't see that. I think it's typical of Amsterdam.
May 12, 200917 yr When one sees youngsters packed in a small car at the Dutch border , you can guess they go to Amsterdam to buy weed. It's obvious. They know they could buy it easily and legally. It just seems a lot of hassle?, I'm not anti drugs at all I have tried/done them in the past and I think if people want to take drugs it's their own choice, I just think it's a shame that so many people go to such a beautiful city just to smoke weed. Did you find it quite an expensive place to visit?.
May 12, 200917 yr Hey, Amsterdam is only a half our from my home :D Amsterdam is nice! Everywhere bicycles, love them :P It has to be one of the most anti car places I've ever seen though, driving around it must be a nightmare.

Did you find it quite an expensive place to visit?. I disagree with that, because when they get serious problems after so much drug taking (like if they were smoking pot for 10 years or so, so when they are like 40 for instance), we (society) need take them to hospital and take care of the life they enjoyed to ruin. I agree with that, and so back on topic. which places have you visited Patricia? how many days you've been there? is the first time you visit it (including Holland)? :nice:

Beverages are cheap compared to France. As for restaurants, they're expensive except fast-foods. Portions are bigger though. When you get there by car, it's better to leave it at the Olympic Stadion where you can park it and you get free tickets to take the bus to go downtown. We went there from Friday morning to Sunday evening. A member of my family is in Leiden that's why we went there. I've also visited Delft which is colouful and crammed with tourists. It's Vermeer's city. Afterwards we drove off to Den Haag. It's different and less colourful but very nice too, full of stores and most of ambassies are located in this city. All those cities are close from each other that's why it was easy to visit them all.

May 13, 200917 yr Wow, that's awesome! The closest I ever got to getting to Amsterdam was taking a stop there on a flight to Romania.

The cityscape of Amsterdam has gone away and has been replaced by the weed easily got that isn't the subject I'm talking about. :laugh3: I've only stopped of it a short moment because it's a renowned fact.
