i dont understand how they tour so much. i went to one concert and was tired. Also working on new material and a new album is more important than touring. Does touring make them alot of money?

Hey I for one am willing to wait a year or two for album five if it means getting to see the Viva tour live again. ;)

Yes, it's true touring makes them way way more money than selling albums, but I sincerely don't think the guys are touring again just for the money. They wouldn't have bothered with this second round if they didn't have the energy and enthusiasm to perform live. Come on, it's obvious they love it. :)

what they should have done is instead of going to places they already went to on this leg....they should have just gone to places they havent been and then stoped and worked on the new album......like going to LATIN AMERICA AND SOME OTHER CITIES THEY HAVENT BEEN TO AND THAT IT...instead of touring usa all over again

Cause i wouldnt want to see them twice if there gonna have the same setlist like their doing

Touring nowadays makes every band more money then releasing albums, but I also don't think that they don't tour just for the money.

They working also on new material as they tour and I for one don't actually want to have a new album out yet....nothing worst then artist who throwing an album out every year...overkill!

To RUSH OF VIDA - It's like your taking crazy pills! :D The first time I went to see them, I was so in awe of the whole thing that I felt like it ended before it even started. I can't WAIT to see them again! I could listen to their music OVER and OVER and OVER........so a similar set list doesn't matter to me. Plus, I got WAY better seats this time.

^That may be true, but not every country gets a second leg. I just dont want them to ruin LP5 by rushing it. They are making shitloads from the live shows, which they love. Ticket and merchandise sales eclipse album sales and also generate positive press about the band.

I think they're working on new material on tour. A lot of bands do that. I'd hate to see them rush LP5 too, but just because they're touring a lot doesn't mean that they can't put out a kickass album.

The Beatles toured back in the 60s, and put out two albums a year in the early days. Yeah, I know the music industry isn't the same, but that doesn't mean that releasing material in a short period of time will be bad.

agreed! I've always said this about Coldplay... they are a band that thrive on the road and performances... (as do a lot of bands) so naturally, I think they would be working on new material on the road, dare I even say 'testing' new songs on the road... and once the gigs are over, and they take a few months off... they'll back at The Bakery making wonderful things! :nice: Too much a break I think hinders their creative process...
